    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Trade went very bad...need advise

Where are they marked? Do you have anything that shows when the photos were taken? Considering how this turned out. If you are telling the truth, you definitely should have told your side of the story from the begining. I don't know what to believe now. There's evidence on both sides, but I don't know if either side can fully prove it's case. .....Kinda sucks for whoever's telling the truth, because I for one would never do business with either until this is resolved.

I should have handled it differently.
I was not 100% sure until yesterday. I also was unsure of my rights before I said anything. The whole thing is so crazy I knew it would be hard for people to beleve. Frankly, I was scard of the reaction. I am not exactly on peoples good list right now. The first photo of the animals appealed to a lot of peoples emotions. You should see them in person. As for the dead ones I am not sure when they actually died. They may have been frozen for quite some time. My add on Kingsnake for the Blizzards was up and running for about two weeks. It clearly stated that I had both adults and sub adults. People are questioning the marking of the animals. It really is not that uncommon. I didn't use some 007 method, just a simple black marker, and a few dots. I really do not blame people too much for not beleving my story, but by not saying anything would have cause me far more problems. At this point the only thing I can hope for is that this never happens again, and some people are compeled to talk to real people who have delt with me to find out more about me. I am sure if people take the time to follow up on me then they will find out that I am really not that bad after all.
 
How could you possibly not realize the pictures being posted were not your geckoes?
Or think of marking them so cleverly, that noone would notice?(please explain the reason you did that. If someone pulls a switch on you, you still send their animals back?) Do you realize what kind of person you are portraying David to be.


You have no shred of evidence that those are not your geckoes, and now, conveniently niether does David(he sent them back to you)


P.S. Please tell us where and how you mark them, (it may add a little credibility to your story)
 
It sounds crude

It sounds crude, and I am giving away my secret, but they are marked in the vent. I take a pair of tweesers and slightly open the vent, and use a black soft tiped pin to put a series of dots. It doesn't harm the animals in any way, and lasts for about one month. I mainly do this to identify my animals. I use it sometimes to tell the differences between diferent locals of panther chameleons(females) and also to know when or if the animal has been treated for anything. This prevents giving the same animal a double dose of panacure or something. As for a dated photo, I do not have one. My camera doesn't have that function, and it seems that if it did it could probally be altered. Not in my wildest dreams did I expect this kind of thing to happen, or I would have put them on a dated newspaper. Actually I wouldn't have sent them at all. If I was reading this I wouldn't trust either one of us either.

It seems like you are the only one around today so I might as address this question directly to you.

Where are the pythons and the tortoises? Did you send them back to David?
 
I still wouldnt for a minute let anybody believe those geckos from Davids pic were from me. No matter how much I stood to lose, even if I wasnt sure of my rights.

It still is allot to think that David would have the foresight to know you wouldnt very quickly recognize the pics were not of what you sent him and defend yourself. He also went through allot of trouble and expense of sending you his snakes. How would he know you would have sent him back his animals? If you hadnt, he wouldnt have gained quite so much. It wouldnt have been quite worth the trouble to him.

I still would like to hear from David Pollard.

I kind of knew from the start that something was not right. In fact I questioned him about the photos he took. In one he claimed the Gecko was dead, and in the other photo that came later he claimed it was sick. I guess I felt what I suspected was so crazy that who in the world would beleve me. At this point there were a lot of posts on the board ripping my head off. I really felt I needed solid proof. In my heart I knew what was going on, but my reason had to have the proof. I was also in a state of shock. It did take a little while to soak in. Just think if some tried a stunt like this with you, it is hard to comprehend somthing like this happing.
 
Ok, I know people have said that the leos are too skinny, even for breeders who've just dropped eggs.

Others are saying that adult females after dropping eggs DO look this skinny.

Well, I can only speak from personal experience. Here's one of my females, with two of her 1 week old babies. Since she dropped the eggs those two hatched, she laid 3 more pairs.

And yeah, her tail's REAL skinny huh?

You have to remember that he jumped on the boards really quickly, right after I questioned his photos. I really was never given any chance to address his claims. Another thing to remember that he stopped his package before delevery, and I was never suspose to have it. Again I should have not held back for as long as I did. My judgement was clouded.

Wow that is pretty stupid of David to try something that BOLD, and then to come to the BOI and start a thread about it. He even listed the weights!! Seems like you could have weighed them before you shipped them, that would have been a pretty good way of determining if he was ripping you off.... But I guess magic marker in the anus is easier. Yeah... O.k.

MPI's "healthy" examples would normally look like neglect. Why is it so far fetched to believe he sent out the geckos david is claiming?

And MARKING? Oh please. Get the people who suggested this practice to come to your defense, I'm sure they're really good references.

And what was the reasoning you mentioned: To not give the same Cham two doses of medicine by accident. Do you mean you keep a sick animal with healthy ones? That sounds like a good practice for an honest breeder...

What was the value of your geckos?
I have been selling the Adults for about 80.00-100.00ea, and the smaller ones I get about 60.00 ea. That is retail. If I sold them to the pet stores they all would be worth 350.00
What was the shipping costs of the geckos?
I have not receved the bill from airborne, but it is probally 20.00-25.00
What was the value of his animals?
I do not know the retail on his animals, but wholdsale would be about 370.00.


what was the shipping costs to send you his?
I will not know until I ship them.

I made my son a promise. If he was good today I would take him down to TRU and get him a toy. In my book my children are my priority. You know how it is.
