    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am considering purchasing a Black Pastel male Ball python from Tri-Reptiles of Miami, FL. This will be the first time I have ever purchased an animal online to have it shipped to me, so I am naturally a little wary and want to be cautious. Is there anyone here at FC who has dealt with (or knows personally) Tri-Reptiles? Thank you in advance.

You can buy from TRI with complete confidence. I have been doing business with Alfredo for over 10 years! I actually received a black pastel and a pewter from him this year.

Thank you so much, Drew. I really appreciate your input. That helps immensely to set my mind at ease. :) The Black Pastel is my birthday gift, so knowing that I am buying from someone with good ethics and great animals is a relief! Thanks again!
 
Tri- Claims to have many things but, most of the stuff is not on hand it is at other suppliers warehouses. You should receive decent stuff especially something like a captive born black pastel which will not be imported and is a pretty safe buy however don't get your hopes up that he actually has it to ship...You may have to wait or he may refund you and not ship at all.. Or maybe you will get lucky and his supplier has it and you get it fairly quickly. Either way you wont lose your money dealing with him..-- In anycase, for something like that I would go straight to a direct breeder. Why use a middle man..
 
I was under the impression that Tri-Reptiles was a direct breeder. I found the ad for the Black Pastel over at Kingsnake.com. I definitely don't want to put forth the money for the Black Pastel and then never receive it, even if I get the money back. :( Has anyone else had this problem with Tri-Reptiles before?
 
Dan I have been to Alfredos ball python facility multiple times. When you are buying ball pythons from him they are Definitely from his stock. He has been producing pythons for years.
 
If he is breeding them himself. Go for it.. No problem.. Just ask if he has them in stock and ready to ship.. If he does he will ship you. He wont lie, take your money, or send you sub standard product.
 
Comments coming from employees or ex employees of JP pets( a company who is banned from buying from us and just about everyone else in florida not to mention around the world) really doesnt mean much to the people who know better. Below is one of his post from a previous thread. I guess when you cant keep up with the good businesses you have to try and trash talk them. thanks drew and naomi.

This guy is a real piece of work. I work at JP PETS. We have asked this guy Dan over and over to send us an invoice for the shipping bill. We would Gladly pay it.
 
Thanks Drew, Naomi and Alfredo. I appreciate all of the responses. As a first time online buyer, it is a little scary for me and I was told that the only way to find out for sure about my desired purchase was to check the BOI. I'm not sorry I came, thanks everyone.

You have not paid many people around the world. You hid behind your bankruptcy to get out of debt. Your building was foreclosed on. When I worked at JP Pets you sent us the worst Iguanas I have ever seen. I am not speaking for JP Pets but, to claim he is banned from buying is ridiculous. Maybe he doesnt want to buy from you or you dont wont sell to them but to make a blanket statement is absurd. I just said something very nice about you and you come back and trash me.. Wow.. If you want to sling mud there is plenty your customers do not know about you. This I have learned from working for different wholesalers and hearing about you. Everything I posted is fact. You dont stock much. You run around to other wholesalers or importers and buy what you need that your customers have pre-ordered. Is that a negative comment. NO.. I said you were honest and the guy wouldnt lose his money. What is wrong with that comment. Then said he would not get a sub standard product. That is also a compliment. I have told the potential buyer that you would not rip him off, contrary to your past because I understand everyone can correct there ways. In anycase, if you want to sling mud there is plenty to sling your way..

How in the world would you take this as a negative comment. Maybe it bothers you that you lost your warehouse and business Extreme reptiles and now you are at other importers mercy. I do not know what would set you off or make you so pissed about the above mentioned comment.. I really dont. Then I posted another comment below which was very flattering to you. Then when other people said you are breeding the balls at your facility and corrected me on that I encouraged a customer to buy from you and you trash me.. Weird.
 
Before you continue to embarrass yourself in front of the people who know me and the facts, do some research and you will see Xtreme reptiles did not file for bankruptcy. Nor did i ever hide from anyone. Xtreme Reptiles was placed in control of a court appointed corporate receiver, all the assests were sold and the corporate receiver paid what debts the judge ordered her too. None of it was done with my consent nor input. And yes i will never sell to JP pets as will many more who told me just today. Most claim they still have bad checks and unpaid shipments. The way you defend JP pets i would never expect you to admit that. After 20 years in this business i have seen it all. You only posted your so called compliments after and in between sarcastic comments. And for your information, i have lost nothing.
 
It is placed in receivership because you were not paying your bills. Basically your mortgage and your debt. It was then sold off and whatever was left your creditors got the scraps. Call it what ever you want but that is what a receivership is. You lost your business. Hey No problem, it happens but you started the mud slinging..... Also, you Personally filed for bankruptcy. I believe it had to do with your divorce. Not sure.. You can blame it on your divorce but, the fact is most people get divorced and never have to resort to Banruptcy. I am happy you lost nothing in fact. I suggest you and everyone who wants to re-read the thread in its entirety. I would suspect most would consider my posts an endorsement to buy from you untill you decided to trash me. You are very sensitive about something. I must have struck some kind of nerve. You say you have been in business 20 years.. However not as the same company :) Or are you claiming you are still holding onto Extreme Reptiles in some way. your coporate receiver would love to hear that. So would the Judge. Once again you bring a company in this thread that has nothing to do with this thread and you are still trashing them.. If you have an issue with them talk to them or start a thread about them or sue them.. I do not know.. I have worked for many places. Including Dominoes when I was 18 and also, a gas station when I was a kid.. Should we go back and trash them to.. Throw stones all you want but in one breath you make an excuse for your debt and in another trash someone else for theres.. I am sure they have a reason or an excuse if they owe someone just like you.. Everyone in this business seems to talk poop about someone else. It gets old man. Move on. Alfredo has been around for awhile...I have never heard anything bad about him...I have friends that have delt with him and did well...noting but praise about him...I understand his personal life interrupted his business...I would buy from him with confidence.

Michael, I agree with you 100%. As I said earlier, I believe he will ship a quality animal and give good service. What I do not understand and as you said his personal life interupted his business. Is while that happened to him and he did not pay some over seas suppliers and his mortgage et et why he feels that it is okay for him to talk trash about other people and suppliers who also may have stiffed people. Isnt that hypecritical. He gives a reason for not paying people and his reason is supposed to be accepted by the masses. Well the other suppliers he is trashing may also have a reason for not paying..but that reason he wont accept... I dont think thats fair or even
 
Dan the only reason why i bring up JP pets in all of this is because your post so happen to show up the very day after a customer near to JP pets tried to order items i was sold out of and 2 hours to late for me to ship it that day. You say i have taken things so personally and i have slung mud, You seem to take it personally when i sling mud at your previous employer! You remember some incident involving iguanas that must of happened before 2007? Im done wasting my time with you dan. The customer who began this thread has already contacted me directly either way. I rather spend this time cleaning snake feces.

Hey luke that guy looks great! I can tell he has some really good growth since Nov. And still very dark like his parents!

Sounds good Time to move on.... I have a python I need to tend to.. Every time Its fed it keeps regurgitating. I can not get it to stop puking up nasty half digested rodents out of its mouth. I have named in Alfredo in your honor :) -- All kidding aside.. Everyone needs to stop trashing each other and try and work together. The industry has enough negative press as it is.. Glad you made the sale to the OP. I am sure he will be happy with his purchase.. adios.

While I am sure you were only trying to help me make a good choice in my purchase, Dan, I have to admit that your first post was anything but complimentary. This is my first time buying a snake online...and I gotta say, it is a scary venture. I came here in hopes of hearing that I should either A) buy from Tri-Reptiles/Alfredo because he wouldn't stiff me or B) I should avoid the sale at all cost. I believe your intent was to scare me from buying from Alfredo with half truths and personal agendas, something I am not really all that grateful for.

Because of the other fine people who have encouraged me and the great service that I have received from Alfredo so far, I am very happy to do business with him and once the transaction is complete, I will even be more happy to give him a "Good Guy" mention here in the BOI. Thank you again, everyone, for helping to make this venture a little less scary. :thumbsup:

I have been a customer of Alfredo since I started in this business and I have NEVER had an issue with the quality, service, or anything else for that matter. He is one of the most stand up guys in this business and quite frankly has nothing to hide behind! I actually like the fact that he buys from all the importers now, since that means I get only the best of the best from what is available. He literally hand selects my order every time! If it doesn't look good I don't get it but that rarely happens.

He does breed Balls, some of which I have purchased this year for my store.

Don't hesitate, he has awesome business ethics and quality animals!
