    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Trouble replying to posts?

You can reply to any thread you want, as long as it's in a discussion forum. That link you posted is a classified ad. Only paying members can reply within an ad thread. You can still send the person a Private Message in reply to the ad, though.
 
At this time only contributing members can post replies in the classifieds.

If you want to contact a seller, please use the contact info given in the ad to send them a PM, email or call.

Any member can still post for sale or wanted ads for free.
 
So regarding the auctions, I can not post and or reply in the auctions? Or the classifieds, unless I post a Wanted or a For Sale ad myself?

No. You can post new ads and replies in the auctions section without restriction. Otherwise the auctions just would not work well at all with everyone being able to bid on an auction.

However for the classifieds sections, because of rampant bumping abuses, only paying members can post replies to their ads. Anyone can post a new ad, however, but unless you are a paying member, no, you can't even reply to your own ad.

Replies to classified ads ceased because of the 3,000 posts per day we were getting at the time, between 1,500 and 2,000 of them were nothing but BUMPS for ads made by the authors. That was just ridiculous and needed to stop.
