    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yes, I just found this site. Of course I have heard of Fauna and read the BOI a long time ago, but I was never an active member. I came back this time ironically because of the many insulting threads over at TRR. And the TRR thread stood out over here simply because of title. What I mention in my profile I stand behind. No axe. Just common sense.
Would my name somehow change how this comes across or any pertinent info? Tom would be my first name, although I don't see how it matters. I do not normally post at any of these sites, but I must admit I am enjoying this one.
Someone on the other thread compares the BOI to the war room. The last time I looked I did not see stripper porn, or post after post of useless insults or tacky attacks on fellow staff members in the BOI. If these threads exist and I have not seen them please provide links. Also while your at it, provide links to threads speaking about ruthless phone calls to child welfare or animal control stemming from this site. I doubt those exist either.
"Hell", from what I am seeing anyway, is a tiny aspect of this site. The hits they generate from that one forum have to be minimal in comparison to the rest. How many members are in hell? 10? 20? How many members of TRR are exclusively war room members? How many hits does Family Chat or other forums generate?
If I am wrong, instead of insults and attacks I would love to see statistical facts proving me wrong. I am certainly not above taking every word back I have typed so far in a situation like that.
 
What is the purpose of this thread other than to bash TRR?

The reason this thread was split or moved is because it was pointed out to me the forum we were discussing this in was wrong for the subject matter, otherwise there would be no new thread.
In this instance, I was merely responding to what was directed at me.
 
So simply put, you don't like a site so your going to gripe and whine avout it on another site? It originally started out as a suspected cheating in the topsites program but you have turned it into a personal gripe. Louise, I am talking about your posts (Not threads) on a paticular thread that were edited for profanity, you obviously got mad and had a hissy fit over it and now have a personal bias. Hell when you look at it most people have a bias towards the subject they love or hate.

You must have read my mind, I was thinking the exact same thing.
You know, from time to time people post and diss Kingsnake, or TRR, or other places.

When I read that stuff I ask myself why other sites should be a matter of such overwhelming concern that people feel moved to come here and post.
Those Fauna members who regularly post here mostly discuss deals in the BOI that affect members of the reptile community in a business way, or participate in the forums, or those sorts of things.

I would hope that other sites, as they grow and mature, would also learn as I have that to be overly concerned with another site is not generally a fruitful use of time; that what IS fruitful is to slowly build a substantive site that attracts others on its own merits.

In any case, everyone seems to be voicing their opinions, so this is mine. I wrote a thread some time ago which in substance said that building is better than destroying, and I still feel that is the truth. Build bridges, don't destroy them; better yet, build places that are of true use and merit, and people will build their own bridges to get there.

It would be shocking to be able to do that and have a reply that did not involve my mother's sister or someone threatening (and actually CALLING) animal control to have my herp room invaded by officials, or perhaps my parenting abilities questioned by case workers, all because someone hated what I had to say. All that should never go on at a reptile hobbyist site. But it goes on there.
That site is dangerous to it's members.
If you can point out where I'm lying I would welcome the criticism.

You obviously can't read my writings, let me repeat, It originally started out as a suspected cheating in the topsites program but you have turned it into a personal gripe.
 
After reading the post that cesaro made (I can no longer recall his name), using the foul language he did on open, public forums in defense of that place, I did feel the need to post. Apparently, you are forgetting the post that was removed for vulgarity which sparked my initial post on this subject. You can continue to post FOR that site, but I have a right to my opinions about it as well.
And if all that I have mentioned, you are considering a personal gripe, then so be it.

Now I know who you are and why you hate TRR.

What Frank posted was out of line and not endorsed by TRR. It was even addressed by a mod from TRR that they did not condone what Frank wrote so how can you blame that on TRR?

What I quoted above is the REAL reason why you are bashing TRR. Because of what went down with you and some of the members (and former members) there.

If you don't like it, DON'T GO THERE.

Why go to sites where you don't feel welcome?

There are as many people who like that site as dislike it so what makes you so special?

Although oppionons and individuality are welcomed here at fauna and other sight. Those of us who are members of TRR go there because we choose to whether warned by you or other's. I really like Gary's sight, it's a tight group of herper's, all opinionated as they are here. And I'm with the majority, if you don't like it there than don't go there, however, please don't come here and slam another sight because of your own personal issues with Gary or other member's of TRR. Take it up with them and leave the people of fauna out of it. Some of us are member's of both, when you drag down one sight it does have an affect on both sights. Now have a nice week end and enjoy the super bowl.

Thanks for the support guys but as you all know TRR is open to critisism from all fronts. But lets just keep it within the TOS set up here because this is not TRR and Rich and his staff do not need any more headaches than they already have to deal with.

Now for me to comment on the calling of FDA or what ever and parenting thing.

TRR had nothing to do with it. People wanted me to fix it but I did not know how as I had nthing to do with it other then a few members fighting on my forum(war room) One person said something another called and that person called on another. But I am not going to jump in and start calling places as it really is not my problem. And I did not want to make it my problem. Do you think Rich gets involved with law suits if there are any from people on the BOI? HEll no he does not.

TRR had nothing to do with it. Again people are blaming a site for letting people have freedom. I give the freedom I do not tell people what to do or post.

about posting your opinions. I OWN TRR! TRR is mine. No TRR belongs to the members I just keep the lights on. But I have never called people names or anything like that to anyone voicing their opinions.

Now if you post something in the war room and members say something oh well. That is their right as it was yours to post what you thought again people hate others having the freedom but they love having it.

TRR has never acted on any calling as it says here. members have but them members are also members here and many other forums. so are they all involved.

But remember, voice our opinions but know others will voice theres.

And I never said the BOI was like the war room. I said hell was like it.
