In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Trying to get an idea of how many animals are produced each year. Please contribute..

Ok, talking with a friend, yes we like to brainstorm, we were thinking about how many snakes are produced each year nation wide.
we would like you to tell us (accurate numbers please) how many snakes you produce each year. I will be posting this on other forums so please do not reply to the same post on another forum as we will be keeping track. For this study, we are talking snakes alone, if you breed different types, that is fine to include them all in one post. Not to forget about the amphibain, lizard, torts, etc. people, but just work with us here.
I am sure there are things you would think of to add to this inquiry, but that is something we can do in the future. Just wanted a general number for now on the above question

Impossible to get an accurate number~ but for your reference~

2003~ I produced 20 snakes (1 clutch corns)
2004~ I plan to breed 3 clutches of corns, so approx 40-60? and 1 clutch of balls, so 2-4?
2005~ I plan to produce 3 clutches of corns (40-60?) and anywhere from 5-20 clutches of balls (depends on how many of these ladies are ready, and how many I sell in 04')

Hope that helps

Really hard to say, but I would guess atleast 150. Could be almost double that(not likely, but never know). What will you be producing Brian? Craig Kade.

2002 over 300
2003 somewhere around 170
This year numbers will depend on whether or not all the Boas are gravid (they should be, they've been locked up for 2 months) and what goes on with the colubrids. Will not be producing any pythons this year :(. But next year I should have tons.

2003

277 colubrids
19 boas

2004 estimated

450+ colubrids
30+ boas

I have complete records since 1991 when I first started breeding snakes that I could submit if you wish.

Pains of redirecting

2002
produced 25 corns + numerous lizards

2003
no snakes - 2 pairs we were hoping for just didn't produce
only some veiled chams

2004
should produce roughly 25-30 corns + 1 clutch of rosy boas (5-8?), also veileds, Russian torts and 3-toed boxies. May acquire more breeder animals yet, just not 100% sure (it's looking better, finally.)

David

2002 - roughly 4,500 corn snakes.

2003 - roughly 5,500 corn snakes.

2004 - I don't even want to think about it........
