In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I should have been more specific. I meant that I'd never seen them at any other physical, retail stores other than target. They are available from a number of sources online. :)

You're welcome.
Sent you a PM with the tracking info.

OK, so I had finally gotten the tubs from Target. Didn't open the boxes right away, since I got the ones I REALLY needed from Steve. (I did it again Harald!) Opened them up now, smaller ones first, and see that several of the lids are all broken up....which isn't such a big deal since I don't use the lids...but the tubs are NOT Sterilite, they are a different brand, with different measurements. They are wider, but not as long....so they barely slide into the racks from side to side, and sit recessed quite a bit. Argh.

So, I open the box of large tubs, and yes, these are actually the Sterilites, but the top two tubs are broken along the top edges, with a crack running downward. Steve's tubs arrived in perfect shape, and the ones from a big-name company aren't packed well enough for even ONE of the boxes to arrive undamaged???

Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

They sent you the wrong tubs and broken tubs?

I'd be ticked. Have you contacted them to see about a refund on the incorrect tubs and replacements on the broken ones?

Sorry to hear about this.
Target needs to learn that packing peanuts can be very helpful when shipping these things.

I have 2 of the smaller tubs here. They have already been drilled but if you want them, I can give them to you for free so you will at least have 2 of the smaller ones to that would fit on a shelf.

Let me know.

I sent an email, but I figure I won't get an answer until after the weekend. It looks like these are perhaps what they are replacing the Sterilite tubs with, they still are the 15 qt shoebox tubs, but the different brand. It says on their website that anything purchased online can be brought in for a refund at the stores, so I am just waiting to see if that's what they want me to do, or what.

I can get by without the smaller tubs for now, but thanks so much for the offer.

I had a similar experience with Target but did not order anything from their site. I usually just picked up my tubs at the local store. I built a 8 slot rack for the 72qt underbed boxes from sterilite and Target ALWAYS had them.... until I really needed them. Now they don't carry them at all in the store or Target.com. I ended looking locally and finally found a tub at Home Depot that would work. My other choice was Iris tubs that were 5 inches too short and the rack , which I built to not be modified , would need to be cut down. Thankfully these tubs are only 1 inch shorter and 1 inch less in width. More expensive tho.

After reading your experience I'm quite happy I didn't find them at their site.
