• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Sure looks like the same picture to me

You might want to get some screen shots of their site/page and post them before they pull the images and the link goes dead.

That's also what the BOI rules require, no outside links.

Gee, who would have thought that someone who purposely breeds for one-eyed and no-eyed turtles (and sells them at a premium price) would be a bad guy?

It looks like the same pic to me as well....do you at least have the screen shots saved?

This should get at least the offending one out of the way...

Thanks, Seamus.

Every time I try to do that, it turns out unbelievably huge.

Thanks for both !!!

The other link goes to the webarchives and shows my site as it was 7/20/2003 when I first put the picture on the site

Anyone know how to get them to remove it?

Printscreen will hit everything, alt + printscreen will copy just the active window. If the window isn't full sized it'll copy a smaller image and most browsers autocorrect text wrapping for window resizing.

Then just shove it in any image editing program... paint for example, where it can be resized again if you need it to be.

Anyone having a tough time uploading on Fauna should doublecheck the file size and extention and make sure they complete the "upload" window, you have to browse for the file, hit the upload button and wait while it does it's thing.

I just re-read the rules and don't see that posted...maybe I missed it

I must admit that I could not find a direct reference either, however this is a direct quote from DThomas

"I would post the screen shots because now that the links are dead, your evidence is gone. It is also one of the rules of the BOI to do that to avoid dead links."

from post #6 in this thread.

Sorry for any confusion.

Joe, have you tried just contacting him and telling him to remove it?

BTW, nice job on the screen shot. ;)

Len Coe is/was a good friend of mine that donated some pictures for the site. He died in 2003 so I mved his picture to the home page as a sort of memorial
