For Sale: 2 year old black and white argentinian tegu female $300
She's one of the last to come out of Varnyard in 2011. She's also a black-nosed tegu.
Her current size is approx 40 inches from snout to tailtip.
She IS a handful. She has never wanted to stay in an enclosure since the day we got her, and she has shown aggression to other tegus and to other animals. She did not hibernate her first year, but chose to hibernate for several months this last year.
She is tame with most people, but does require careful handling. Despite daily handling, she has never become truly docile, and most of the time, she prefers to come to you when and if she wants attention.
She has never been bred, because she is not yet of age to do so, and because of her aggression towards other tegus.
She is definitely suited for someone with experience with troublesome reptiles, and someone who either has space for a tegu with aggression issues, or is willing to have a one-tegu household.
