It's 11:30pm and I have now woken up the entire house.
The family came flying out of the bedrooms to see what happened to me when they heard the scream.

All I can say is spiders must know I am leary of them.

I went to mist the curly hair sling and that little SOB bolted up the side of the container, onto my hand, and up my arm.

I must've sounded like I was dying with the yell I let out.

I dropped the water bottle, the spider fell (not far) and I finally got the fast little terror back into the container. It was NOT nice of this thing to decide he wanted to take a stroll when he is so fast. I didn't know they could move this fast.

This is the LAST time I open that container. It's all Matthew from now on.

Good thing you didn't get a T leblondi or C crawshayi...they bite. Hard.
(still my favorites, though)

*actually, I think they did away with the "le" a while back - just T blondi now

Ha ha ha ha! ROFL!! Jeff had our Blue Cobalt do that to him once. He SWEARS he'll NEVER open the tank and absolutely HATES having to mess with her. Jeff did a quick once flinch, short bursted when she got up onto his hand. I was proud of him though, first time to have a nasty Spider with teleportation powers on his hand and he didn't shake violently. I wasn't so sure how he'd react and if it would of been me she'd be A. Dead or I'd be B. Bitten the crap out of and very sore.

I would never with my Ermac and can handle the Pink Toe jumper (except the face, there are rules about the face!), but never the Blue Cobalt. Poor Jeff doesn't want anymore Old Worlds, any at all. I REALLY like those Sri Lankas though!! *Wink wink* SPJ, why didn't you just spray through the lid? TO funny! :)

An no offense but that poor Spider. As a Giant you should be more careful! You scared the poor thing. Still ROFL!

Heh hehe rotf..you painted a good mental pic there
these little buggers can surprise you with the speed they can use.
Watch even the slowest tarantula grab food items and you will see how fast they can move.
Theraphosa leblondi is still leblondi as far as I know. And yes Kings and goliaths can move VERY fast when they want to. Adults also have chelicerae over an inch long :ack2:

I think you have that backwards.
That spider scared ME.

I'll take a 20 foot retic over a 1 inch spider anyday. :D

You know the 20 foot Retic could kill ya, the itsy bitsy Spider can't. No, I'm not wrong, YOU scared the poor baby. I never did understand the 20 foot Snake over the Spider? If you can handle the 20 foot Snake then why not the itsy Spider? I would LOVE to hold the Retic, but Spiders can't hurt ya. They are cute and fuzzy and bitsy. The Pink Toe's mouth has the shape of a heart. :) They are simple little Robitic Creatures and easy to care for. I bet you scared it misting pretty close to it. I've done that with my Pink Toe a couple of times. Your smarter and bigger then one little Spider. Be a man!! (I'm teasing don't take it personal. ) :)

I guess you just can't change some peoples mind. I see it differently though, cute an fuzzy. There still not as scary as a 20 ft Retic.
