In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ugh...still having alot of I.D. trouble on this fire clutch (help appreciated!)

so after asking for help on the first one out, i thought i had a better handle on this, then the rest came out and im lost...alot of orangeish granite came through in this clutch and they are het hypo so i think this might be making it harder on me. here is some shots of the 6 in question...anybody with fire experience pls take a shot at it...ive also posted a few closer pics of the 3 im having the hardest time with. thx!

the first 2 pics are all 6 in question...we will call them 1-2-3 across row one then 4-5-6 across row 2...i feel like i can say that 1 and 6 are fire and 3 is normal but i could be wrong? as for the others (2-4-5) im at a loss...ive included 2 close us of these three im most questionable of. thxthxthx for any help!!!

Correction: the 3rd set of closeups are of the suspected normal for comparison. Much darkerhead but pretty orange... Thx for the pics I can't see them here but I'll check when I get home.

Pictures of balled up snakes aren't the best choice, when you're requesting identification assistance. I understand that it's what they do...but actually seeing them helps.

Yeah, I agree with Mark. I only see one definitive normal in that clutch, the rest all look like fires to me. Great odds!

Another pic that might help

This isn't that good a picture but I think you can see the contrast between the fire at the top and the normals. You sure beat me on the odds -- I only got 2 fire and 4 normal!
Hope it helps,
Andy

thx for input, well the clutch was actually 12 eggs, lost 2 suspected normals due to humidity issues (i need a new incubator and its pretty difficult keeping up humidity here in the desert) and a third suspected fire that came out still attached...looks like it would finish yolk and be fine but didnt make it even 2 days.

so the total breakdown for the clutch was
6 suspected fires
3 suspected normals
2 pastels
1 firefly

was strange how little the pastel gene popped up, i was idealizing 2 firefly females to holdback but the fact that i only got one highlights how i could have got 0...and the one is female.

im taking a bunch of pics today so i think ill do a pic post on the clutch

ok, took some better pics in the sunlight today. ive removed the pics of the ones i feel safe saying are fire other than the group shot for comparison. the remaining 3 snakes here are the ones i cant tell fire or normal.

also the last one that isnt out of egg yet i thought was pastel but now that its pipped out more it looks like a bright fire so only 2 snakes out of 12 got the pastel gene...weird.

thx for any imput.

htx, i guess thats a possibility, unfortunately both my for sure normals didnt make from aforementioned humidity issues, i removed them from eggs (they were not living at that point despite having gone very close to full development) and they were almost def normal no highlights ect...they would have been very useful in contrasting the clutch.

Well you deff hit the odds on the fires. Mishaps happen and you just learn from it and move on. We had a pastel female pass on us because of a twisted umbillicus and a cinnamon female just died for no reason few days after she shed. Weird things happen
