In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ugliest Pastel You Will Ever See

He colors were a lot more dull than any other pastel we ever hatched and she doesn't have that "jungle" pattern either.
If you haven't noticed already, I really don't know what I'm talking about here so please be patient with the stupid questions. :)

A pastel can have duller colors and still be a pastel?

If you have a dull pastel, how do you know it's a pastel?

Essentially what I'm asking is this: How do you know it's a pastel if you haven't seen the parents?

its not the snakes fault that its in this mess..... retarted breeders! and selling a male as a fem!!! i would be having my lawers right them a letter...

Another shot of him.

They can, just like wild types or normals, pastels can vary quite a bit.

When they hatch the pastels stick out like a turd in a punchbowl, very light heads, light eyes, clear belly.

Essentially what I'm asking is this: How do you know it's a pastel if you haven't seen the parents??
You can still tell. I guess in a case where you could not tell you'd just have to prove out through breeding.

Thanks for the info. "A turd in a punchbowl." Now there's an analogy I'll not soon forget. :dgrin:

I did see a real pastel at a show and I know that mine is not a pastel but mine has a lot of color and is really pretty.

I did see a real pastel at a show

That is the best way to learn them. The more you see the more they seem to stand out. We hatched a few dozen over the last few years and seen probably over a 100 more at shows. The more you see the easier it will get.

Did you get this situation resolved with the "pit"?

Semi resolved.

If he misses the next double installment this Friday (the last one never showed and the one prior was late), I am going to pursue a more agressive course of action to get the balance back that is owed to me.

Wow... You should most definatly post on the BOI to help others avoid the same situation though. That is ridiculous. I hope everything works out. I'm rooting for you! :)

Speaking of pastels............
Look at this male being offered by the snake pit for only $700 shipped.
