Ultimate cornsnakes??

Does anyone know anything about an outfit called Ultimate Cornsnakes?? I was thinking about ordering from them and would like to know something about them beforehand.

I know this thread is old, but I feel it is important to leave feedback about a business/individual in order to help out potential buyers make a decision. I have bought 2 corns from Ultimate Cornsnakes this past month and I am very happy with the transaction. Tim was very professional, answered my e-mails promptly, gave me all the information I asked for, and even went out of his way to accommodate me with the shipping. Snakes were in great shape and well packed. Nothing but good things to say about this business. Highly recommended.

I purchased a 'high-end' and rather expensive (in excess of $1K) corn from Tim earlier this year, and was pleased with every aspect of our transaction. Great correspondence, wonderful service (kept every promise, etc.), and a beautiful, healthy animal.

Last I knew, he was thinking of getting out of the business (keeping it as a hobby only), but I'm glad to see that he's still hanging in for the time being.

Definitely one of the good guys.

Funny on how opinions differ wildly.

Personally, I'd never purchase a snake from them, even if it was the steal of the century. They jumped head-first into the business by buying a ton of adults from some of the top breeders and had no idea what they were doing. And this is why you see them getting out of the hobby.

There were several instances where their knowledge on genetics was.....called out into the open (do a search on cornsnakes.com), and personally, I'd rather buy from an experienced breeder and not someone who got into the 'biz' to make some quick cash.

I'd have to agree with Joe on this one...

In reference to their ethics & knowledge, I can't say I have anything positive to say about things they've said & done. Making up morph names (Yetti comes to mind *lol*), pictures of snakes in dirty cages, etc.

Though I have never heard in instance where they out right scammed anyone. I do however know a few individuals who were unhappy with the "adult proven breeders" they purchased from them (them being an inappropriate breeding weight), but didn't think it worth the trouble to bring it to the BOI.

Yetti? LoL. Add onto that Glacier, Sunshine, etc etc.

Making up new trade names is okay, but when you solely do it to increase sales, I have a problem with that.

The Yetti thing is a great example. They produced this snake and had ads "Yetti Motleys". Well, what the hell is a yetti motley? Well, according to them it was a snake homozygous for amel, anery, hypo, and motley. Well guess what, we have an established trade name for snakes homo for anery, amel, and hypo. They're called coral snows, so why not call your 'new' snake a coral snow motley?

Sunshine corns? Nothing more than bright normals.

Glaciers? Snopals.

It's sad when you can't let your snakes do their own selling, and you have to coin these absurd trade names to make them sound like something new and exciting.

And yes, selling snakes as 'proven breeders' and then shipping out a 150 gram snake is poor, very, very poor.

Here's the Hypo Blood I bought from them last summer. She was supposed to be breeding size this spring. The day she arrived she weighed 86 grams!
Be aware of what they consider breeding size.

I found her dead one morning a few months later. She had a prolapsed rectum.
