• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ultrasound feedback requested

I would say it depends on how many snakes you get an ultrasound done to. If one snake I would expect to pay 20-40. Multiple snakes, obviously I would want a deal.

I wish someone local did ultrasounds!!! I would be a frequent customer for sure.

You seem to have a pretty good group of people out there, someone should think about investing in one.

I'm trying to find a wand and interface that I can plug into my laptop and (with software) use that as an imager, but I just haven't been able to find anything yet...you would think that a setup like that should cost less than an all inclusive device.

Heck, you could take something like that to local reptile shows and offer your services there (especially in the off season when breeding is underway).

I couldn't find anything like that for a laptop or pda but did see where there is a cell phone prototype on the horizon. I think it will still run some money and I'm not sure how the image quality would look on a small screen like that.

I think shows are a cool idea and a viable option if it could be promoted well enough in advance.

Actually most of those are new but are from China. The unit must have a linear 5-7.5 mhz transducer, if it doesn't they can be pricey. The chinese quality is cheaper and some of the people in our hobby have said they would spend more money next time. They also charge a customs fee on those units which takes the price up substancially. What's left isn't much and is listed as is with no warranty so you have to be very careful and lucky.

I understand there are cheaper options but am a firm beleiver that you get what you pay for. I like knowing there is someone behind me to provide assistance or support if needed for a little more money.

If you see something I may be overlooking please send me a link to it and I will check into it. Thanks for your assistance, I appreciate it.

Thanks Kyle, I did visit his site and looked at the units but couldn't find any pricing. He does have a dvd I would like to get for training on using the ultrasounds.

You mean there's not an app for this yet
