    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Unable to post in the BOI???????

My account was approved in the last couple of days and I just tried posting in the BOI and this is what came up:

minicopilot, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1 Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2 If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Can anyone help???:confused:
 
In the first bit of your membership, you can only post in a few areas (iirc) and after something like 24 or 48 hours goes by, you're opened up to the normal stuff in order to keep spam and crap at bay.

I'm curious where you got that sort of info. That's all news to me, and I THOUGHT I ran this joint..... :shrug01:

There should be NO reason at all, at least one originating from this site, that would keep a brand new member from being able to post immediately on the BOI. At least none that I am aware of....

I tried to post there and your rules came up telling me why I couldn't post here? Just wanted to give a couple of standup people a well deserved shout out. I'll try again.
 
Check to make sure you are still logged in when you go to the BOI. Some members will have their security settings too high and that will baffle the cookie system needed to REMAIN logged in when they switch pages after logging in. It's a fairly common problem, but has pretty much ALWAYS been caused by either security settings in the browser OR just the AOL browser itself in general (for those people making the mistake of using it).
