In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Of course I would not make a giant fuss out of this. It's only a simple matter of bloodlines. There's nothing here that would inspire me to make a Bad Guy thread. It can go into 2 ways: I have a het pied female I got for a steal, yay! Or: I have a fantastic looking female to add to my dinker project and maybe her funky looking pattern and color will someday be a proven morph, yay!

Either way I will be happy. I'm not asking for a refund, or demanding a brand new snake being shipped to me. I was the one who told Ash about the add because she's been dying to make pieds. She ordered in right then and right there. We've fallen in love with 'Diesel' so we're not asking for anything but to lay a simple concern to rest. I got her sexed a few weeks ago along with many of our other young ball pythons and many turned out not to be what they were supposed to be. He being a she is the last worry on my mind.

If thats the case say I get an animal from a friend it's spose to be a female het whatever. The friend says I got it from SO_SO. I breed it it doesn't prove out Or I sex it and it's a male I can call email phone SO_SO to get the animal in question replaced or a refund?? Even If Im not the origanal buyer??

IMO maybe The reason for the no return of phone call's or emails may be becuase there's no record on file of Ryan selling the animal in question to the O.P??

Question for the O.P how long after having the animal did you/ your partner sex the animal to see if it's male or female??

I do give prop's to Ryan the way he's handling this. Just goes to prove my previous statement on him

I think when the person is making the purchase it would be best to notify the seller that it is going into someone elses possession. Or just for you to do the purchase yourself if it is going to your house. This is a completely different situation though because not once has the OP stated that they wanted anything out of the seller. I think she was more concerned for the animal and wanted to make sure there were no feeding issues prior to the sale. I also do not think it is out of line for her to try and get the paper work on the het. Yes I think it may be out of line to assume that the genetics might be false because its not eating and the buyer should have asked for paperwork on the snake from the start. And the purchaser should have made attempts themself to contact the seller but again I do not feel that just because the snake was purchased to go into a friends possession automaticaly elliminates them from being able to handle any future questions with the seller. Its not hard to let a seller know the situation and provide proof that it was the snake sold.

Ash did say on the phone while ordering it that it was going to be my address and not hers. But I really don't see why this part is part of concern..

I only had a bit of concern after talking with a friend about how 'Diesel' became 'Dieselella' and he replied, 'Well, if that happened you may want to make sure it is what it is." So here I am and I am settling it with Ryan in the morning.

Like I said before, the het burmese I order always show up with a genetic tree or paperwork. So asking for one at the time didn't exactly hit me when Ash was on the phone ordering it.

I would have sexed the animal the day of it's arrival... Wouldn't have waited 2-3 months before sexing it, thats just me though... I didn't know the animal came to your house. My thing was you recived the animal from a friend second hand meaning the animal switched hands twice first Ryan to your friend then your friend to you. In most case's a seller will make good with what's wrong but only to the buyer (what I was trying to Imply from my previous statement) Yes most breeder's do include paperwork for het's ( some may or may not be actual het's sad to say but it happen's )
I know I may be comming off as a ******* Im not trying to be just looking at all side's
Just for future reference Whenever getting a new addition always sex the animals the day of arrival ( although I belive the sex of an animal should be guarenteed and all het's have proper paperwork ) some have a 7-14 day guarentee on health etc etc
Not saying you are by no means but could be seen to some as you trying to pull a fast one

Ryan's a good guy and if for some reason he did make a mistake ( It Happens ) I have no doubt that he will make right of whats wrong some may not been so decent about the situation.

What would be the purpose of pulling a fast one if I didn't want anything in return?

Anyway, in the morning Ryan and I will settle this. It's just a paranoid sliver of doubt that's gotten to us that I just want cleared. Nothing more.

On the feeding note Bp's are FAMOUS for being Picky eater's at time's I've had some that ate like pig's in my care and then when moved out they eat then stop I get an email or a call stating they ate a few time's and then stopped for the new owner
I've had them where they dont eat so I move them out ( alway's clearly labled as problem feeder's ) I get an email or call after a while and quess what there eating like champs go figure right...
I do feel and understand where your comming from being a person that's not involved in the situation Im simply trying to look a all side's of the situation and give my honest opinion on the matter.

I've purchased from UGR several times over the years, most recently last month, and I've never had trouble contacting them by phone during business hours. IMO, these are good guys!

So here it is after doing some research. First off as far as missexing goes the order form which I can produce and the original ad clearly stated that these were males, thus also explaining why the person who originally purchased the animal only paid $40 for it. It would also appear from the email we received that both parties knew this animal was a male and were quite happy with the animal.

Subject: Happy Testimonial For You! =D

Hey guys! Ash and I are so happy with our het. piebald we got from you. He was in shed when he arrived, but the next day he got it all off in one piece and he's absolutely gorgeous. We were expecting a plain ol' normal looking baby, but this little is jaw-dropping even for just a het. We're also happy you tried many times to get a hold of Ash to tell her that it would be too hot to deliver it to the door, that was very nice too!
We had better service with you than the Fed-Ex people in their store. We'll definitely be ordering from you again!

I also want to point everyones attention to this email.

I also have another email from Ashley or Samantha asking if we had aquired a female het pied. on a later date which I can provide.

As far as the genetics go I do still guarantee that the male which was purchased by Ashley Reasor was in fact a 100% het. pied male. I have also shown that we have answered your emails when you sent them. In the future, as I believed I mentioned before if a customer needs a guarntee or verification on snakes genetics, we will be happy to offer one. Just email me or pm me, it winds up being a lot easier than starting a thread. I hope the info I provided is sufficient and if there is anything else I can do just let me know.

Well, allrightythen.
So far, me thinks me understands the only real problem here is snaky won't eaty. While I doubt it is actually a real problem since 1) It's a royal python, which translates to a royal pain in the arse to keep on feed for more than 6 months at a time, and 2) It's summertime, and we all know how girls are trying to fit into last-year's bikini for the beach anyway they can. Anywho, if it were me, and I wanted to cover all the bases with this little girl, I would get a fecal float on her and maybe even do an acid-fast stain on it as well, which might cost a hundred bucks, but will give you the piece-of-mind there are no parasites on board.
I would also weigh her twice weekly, and make sure she is not losing more than 2% of her weight in a week, and if she isn't, I would not force feed her at all. Lastly, I would possibly entertain the idea of trying a dose of metronidazole on her if she goes more than say 6 months without eating on her own. It has a mild appetite-stimulant property to it, and I can remember a gabboon viper I used to have to tube regularly with it to get it to eat on its own. I would also try waiting about 2 weeks, yes, I know, 2-long-fricking-painful weeks, before trying to feed her again. I would hope to see her out exploring her cage a little and possibly hunting for food before you try feeding her again, and then maybe try an ASF rat pup on her to see if she keys in on the smell.
So there are my wonderful pearls of wisdom, and $0.02, which is about what they are worth on the black market in Chad. Enjoy!

I got her sexed a few weeks ago along with many of our other young ball pythons and many turned out not to be what they were supposed to be.

The above quote is what concerns me.

Either there are "many" people out there sending you the wrong sex and your person was able to catch all the mistakes.

OR

"Many" people are sending you the right sexes and your person is the one making the mistakes.

Just sayin

This one het pied is the only one we got offline. All the others are my 'dinkers' that were in labeled tanks. The guy who sexed them said that many pet stores put one snake in a different snake when they feed them all and it's just a batch of males and females.

Ryan, the e-mail I sent saying we were very happy to get -him- was a couple days after we had gotten her. We just got her sexed a few weeks ago. I'm still happy about our purchase. Ash is estatic he turned out to be a she.

No I'm not worried about the feeding. She's gotten better.

QUOTE=AfrocskNeedsLoveToo;1323486]I'm not so upset about the feeding, she's a healthy weight as of right now, nor am I upset about getting a supposedly het pied female for the price of a male. I'm just concerned now that she may not be what they said she is.[/QUOTE]

I fail to see what, ultimately, was the point of this thread then...

Is it about the hets? You want some type of proof the animal is actually het? Why don't you wait until "she" produces offspring for you. Or is it about supposedly not being able to contact UG? Rather than starting a thread, maybe you could have just shot them a message here on fauna...I think it took him less than an hour to respond to this thread after I informed him of it.

I'm glad that everything has worked out with everyone so far, but I just feel like this thread was totally unnecessary.

Forgive me, the response was 4 hours later...but it was well within an acceptable time limit.
