In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just did a weigh out of everyone here today and while I had already assumed that my younger female ball was small, her weight helped confirmed that. Based on the fact that the guy I had purchased her from said she was 2 and a 1/2 years old, and close to 3 feet in length what should her weight be?

I will add her weight in after I get some replies but what as a rough estimate would be a good weight for a 2 and a 1/2 year old, 3 foot, female ball?

600-2000 grams is a good weight. Sure, that was no help but there is no set guide for Balls. A great female would be 2000 at that age, 1000-1500 would be good. 600-1000 isn't a bad weight because it may not be fed by others' standards. Is it eating good for you? If so, she will gain weight really quickly.

I've had some Balls at 600 grams at that age and healthy as can be; in fact my "lighter" females are more toned and better looking than the heavier girls IMO. Slower fed girls are believed to live longer. Pet and breeders can be raised totally different ways.

She is weighing in at 238grams at the moment. Has been doing an adult mouse every 5 days, this feeding yesterday was the 1st time that she refused on me since I have had her (about a month now). I'd like to hope that he just had his notes wrong and that she is not 2 and a 1/2 years old. My 3 year old female is 1299 grams and is enormous in comparison to her.
The smaller female has been eating well and is otherwise healthy and "active" if you will.
I've attached a few pictures of Abby and then one of my female that is roughly 6 months older.

I guess now would be a good time to ask too, and I am almost 100% positive that she is just a normal correct? He said she was a morph of some sort (dont recall which) not het, but a morph. I really think normal though.

She is deffinatly skinny for her age and size. You should up her feeding. One mouse isn't enough for an adult female ball. I have one that eats 10-12 jumbo f/t mice in one sitting. Start by giving her 3 in one sitting. Or try and switch to small rats. She should start to put on size if you do. Good luck with her!!

Thanks, at this point I would settle if she ate one mouse, the past few days she has been refusing on me, showing no interest at all. Ive been trying daily to get her to eat and no luck. Should I maybe down the size of her prey and up the intake?
Switch from an XL mouse to a few mediums to try and get her to feed that way? I was thinking maybe switching her to F/T but if she isnt going after the live I am not sure that, that would help the situation.

Is she possibly going into shed? That would make her refuse food. I wouldn't downsize her meals. Give her a few days without offering food, then try again, feed at night when it's dark. If she is shedding she should eat when she's done. Also make sure your temps and humidity are good.

Temps and humidity are on track, my older female is going into shed now so quite possibly that is the reason this little lady is refusing on me. I will keep an eye out and try her again on Friday when everyone else gets fed.

Also, did anyone get a chance to look at my two girls, both are normal correct? My older one was sold as a normal, she is darker in color but still I would assume a normal, like I said when the little one was sold he swore she was a morph, I still say normal though

Did the guy say "It should prove out to be a morph"? Or did he say it is a definite morph, if so he should have told you what morph it is. If he didnt he's probably lying. Looks like a nice normal to me. Only one way to find out, and that's breed her.

Thats what I am thinking. The rate she is going she will probably never be a breeder, puppy dog tame though so she is the one even my youngest gets to hold!
