In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

For the last year I was completely discouraged with the hobby because a run of bad luck with animals. Just not excited about the hobby anymore...

Yesterday something crazy unexpected happened.
Went into my snake room to check my animals....but when I looked at my Nic Laddertail ph T+, I saw somethin by her face that looked like a slug. Opened the cage & saw about a dozen slugs & 4 still borns!?!?! This was her 1st litter, but a project I've been super excited about for the last 3yrs!
Needless to say, the 1 visable patterned baby was INSANE & also got 3 white babies!?!?! (T+/T+ snows?) Excited but sad they didn't live. This has been a project I've been waiting for since 2009!!! Dad is an Imported CA dwarf with unknown genetics. Both very cool snakes...always knew they would be an awesome pairing. Nice to know my predictions of this pair were spot on...although the babies looked nothing like I expected!!! Looks like I'm stickin to the hobby after all.

I could honestly say this was the miracle that got me back into the hobby...this is the reason I do this!

Had to share my story...thanks for reading!

Will post pics from my laptop in a few...bare with me! ;)

Yeah, thats to bad about the slugs and the stillborns, probably because it was her first litter as you mentioned. At least you weren't waiting 6 months for a litter of babies to be born, and then this happened.

So I guess there wasn't any mid body swelling or reluctance to feed during her pregnancy?

sorry to hear about the slugs/stills. A lot of times premature babies are light colored or have little pattern as the color and pattern are the last things to develop.

If you would like me to move this thread to the Boa Discussion forum please let me know.

Thanks guys.

The white babies had pattern but it's hard to see in pictures. =/

I'll be workin hard to prepare her for next season & hopefully she throws similar babies.

I tried to post pics of the parents but I'm havin a hard time doing it from the iPad.
