• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Thanks all, very much!

I love it when a plan comes together!

Well, it looks like the final number is 12. The rest died in egg, or simply did not develop. Who knows. One of these has a severe spinal kink, at mid body. I think it got wrapped/tangled in it's umbilical during development. When it hatched, I could see that it had not absorbed any of the yolk. Incubation temps were perfect the whole time, so that's not it. At first, I thought this one would die. But we squirted a little vitamin/egg mix down her gullet a couple times, and now she has perked right up. Although she will probably always have a serious defect, she just might make it.

The preliminary sexing results are 7 female, and 5 male. I hope to trade at least one female for an unrelated female. I would love to take pics of each one, but just don't have time. Their color varies a bit, but they are all adorable!

Each one has shed for the first time, and I have begun feeding attempts. So far they have all said "no thanks" to f/t mouse pinks, fish scented and unscented, but two have taken f/t minnows. So here we go! They can have all the minnows they want, since I can trap an unlimited supply from the creeks and rivers here. I already have a huge bag full in the freezer. After they get going on those really well, I'll make the switch to pinks. If this minnow thing works the way I think it will,...it will be a HUGE RELIEF! No more paying for gas to drive to and from the store, and no more paying for goldfish, and no more trying to keep them alive!!! Besides,...this give me an excuse to go fishin!
