    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

No, no signature was required, I failed on that point. I made a lot of mistakes in this deal.. As stated before, I had done other trades successfully, so I was too gullible.

Also, as stated before, I don't have a smart phone, just a dumb phone. The deal was done via texting. I've taken pics of my phone's text history to show the deal.. Sorry, it's a lot of pics:

So, did he ever actually say that it was the neighbor's kids or no? Would be interesting to know if the police ever got back to you about checking at the residence, as well. I'm sure you mentioned to them that this guy admitted to having video evidence?
 
The other day I submitted a complaint the the IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center, which is a partnership between the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center).

It has been advised not to share much more while further investigations are being done by authorities.

Let me say, though, that I'm amazed and very thankful for all of the support of you here. Please PM me or email me if you have questions about specifics. Hopefully I can report soon that actions have been taken to either put the scammer behind bars, pay hefty fines, and/or retrieve my snakes.

Correct.

One should, naturally, also be willing to listen to what your employees have to say in situations like this, but turning a completely blind eye to it is a behavioral risk when someone represents your business in some capacity or has access to the money and/or the product (whether gold or shoelaces). You are not trying to police their lives outside of work, but you also want them to be decent representatives of your work in addition to any functional role. Telling someone to not let the the toilet paper stuck to their shoe in the door of the business is fine.
 
Looks like little mister Dakota is about to have a rug pulled out from under him. Why wouldn't he just do it the easy way and send the snakes back instead of face the legal consequences headed his way?

Clark, make sure to attach them when you can so they last regardless of the external host's status.

No salt in wounds here, but ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS (especially if you don't know the other party) opt for signature and insurance. I think lack of signature may be tempting to aspiring scammers as well as veterans.
 
I see the images, but the mods have been more adamant about people using attachments rather than Photobucket links for the very reason that they can be easily deleted.
 
I thought guests can't see attachments, though, which is why I used photobucket.
