In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was on another site and reading an unkind comment from someone about the appearance of one of the current celebrities because she is pregnant:

"I can't believe she was once the hottest woman in America. At least Marilyn Monroe had enough dignity to die before she had gone past her prime."

While I think that both men and women have every right to celebrate physical beauty, pregnancy, age and infirmities can take away from the standards of perfection that some people seek.

I think that pregnant women, and the aged, have their own beauty and I think people who make comments like the above are unrealistic about life.

Again, this is not to say that people should not appreciate physical beauty, I do and there is nothing wrong with that, IMHO; but I think all people should be honored for their own selves and not dishonored because they do not conform to someone's ideal.

What do y'all think?

Lucille, I agree with you 100%. Of course, I appreciate physical beauty as well (Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp *cough cough), but it's all about what's inside a person that really counts. Myself personally am a person that is able to find beauty in most everyone that I know and care about. I also have a lot of respect for people that are original and comfortable with themselves, even though they don't fit in to someone else's narrow minded "ideal".

Sounds as if that poster was young. Maturity brings about a whole new respect for what beauty is. I would give all of the money I have to have an ounce of my now deceased grandfathers knowledge. His kind heart and passion for learning is what made him beautiful to me.

I can remember a time when I was having an arguement with my older brother. I was just entering into college and stayed the night with his apartment. He was mentioning how this 35+ year old woman was so incredibly hot. At the time, I had just came from a town of 900 so my worldly experience was nill. I can still hear myself tell him that I thought this was revolting as she was over the hill. :)

Boy, now that I am in my thirties, I find nothing sexier than a woman who knows her own beauty regardless of age. Aging gracefully is one of the sexiest things a person can do. Besides, it's not all about physical appearance. It's about knowing who you are, having the confidence to believe it, and the humility to not flaunt it.

I think it's disrespectful to one's own mother. Unless they started growing babies hydroponically in labs, that's where we all came from. I say, go thank your mother for sacrificing the vanity and physical beauty for the ability to carry a child.

My mom had four sons--all cesarean. The first (not me) was 11lbs 6oz. It may have destroyed the shape she used to have, but she did it for us and I know she doesn't regret it. See, she's capable of knowing what matters most.

i hate that..just because hollywood is unrealistic....it doesnt mean we have to get sucked in....we cant all be heidi klum...and you know what....people dont appreciate all that a pregnant woman goes through..its such a shame..instead of being looked up to, theyre criticized...whats the world coming to...and furthermore...i love elderly people...i love being around them...they have so much knowledge and wisdom..and i love learning from them and being there for them...they appreciate all the little things (most of em.)..and when you look into their eyes..you see them like they were when they were twenty..theyre soo cute..anyway....i think everyone is beautiful in their own way...everyone has something unique about them..regardless if its physical beauty..but even in that aspect...i think when a person tries to look nice, and takes care of themselves..and has that confidence in them......thats what makes them beautiful.........

girl..please......they dont even belong in the same category..haha..johnny depp :slamit: pitt :ack2: but thats looking at it from just a physical point of view :raspberry

It's not all about age. I'm 22, and I can definitely say that some of the sexiest most beautiful things about men have nothing to do with physical appearance. Men who aren't afraid to make asses of themselves when they're playing around being goofy with kids or their dog, men who take care of their families, men who work hard, men who are gentle, men with integrity are beautiful and sexy whatever they look like. I'm not sexually attracted to women, but I think the same thing applies there too. Motherhood is just part of what can bring out the best and the most beautiful parts of some women.

And I don't think it's ever worth it to get caught up in the Hollywood ideal. Let's face it, if we all had personal trainers, nutritionists, a team of people who ran around behind us fixing our hair and makeup every time it fell out of place, and only one responsibility of looking good, we'd all look pretty damn hot, too. But alas we have real things to do. We have reptiles to breed.
