    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Because of the non-residential delivery clause (and temperature concerns), I convince many of my customers to go to the local FedEx office to pick up. When searching their website for FedEx staffed offices, I have recently noticed that FedEx Kinkos locations come up, and that my local Kinkos has a new banner with their new name. So when I asked, of course he said they can do almost anything FedEx can do, except not live plants or animals. Since the addition of zillions of Kinkos would be a welcome addition to locations for those living far from the current FedEx offices, I called my rep (Ed Yuhasz, 1-800-786-4621 x 7902 - he is actively looking for more reptile accounts for the south Florida area) to see what is going on.

He said that they are actively trying to train the new FedEx Kinkos employees in all aspects and that by sometime in the fall, they should be ready to accept anything that a regular FedEx can take. He put my number in his file and has promised to notify me when this happens. When he does, I will post it here so we can all start using Kinkos for customers to pick up at. That will really cut down on delivery problems since most mistakes (and overheating and chilling) happen on that "last mile" of delivery.

That is awesome Kathy! It seems like things are finally coming around.

Great! Now I have to sign a new waiver that protects Kinkos, too! LOL =)

Good stuff, though. And I agree with the customer pickup. I used to ship mostly to businesses over home delivery per customer request. (I guess most people work out of the home.) Since I started using FedEx and mention the alternative option of customer pickup at a FedEx location, I'm surprised at how many people would rather pick it up than have it delivered. I guess it's less truck time on the animal, plus one less person handling the package. And it's also usually ready for pickup once the FedEx station opens at 7:30AM. That's three hours sooner you can get him home and comfy.

I'm rambling...

Good stuff, Kathy!=)

He said sometime in the fall, so I don't expect to hear anything before Sept. If I don't hear anything by the end of Sept., I will give him a call to see if anything has happened.
