Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Rumor mill Has it Slick Sal Has moved to Sunny Florida and is probably working with someone there with snakes as a helper , (something exotics a husband wife team)im sure where ever he or however got to where he is this time on money he STOLE / TOOK from unsuspecting ( uneducated ) buyers of his melamine caging products as it was posted that atleast 2 people were taken for about $1800-$2000 in money for cages they never received .So if Antone sees or hears from him tell him he owes a few people some cash or cages

With how much business booms once you get negative press on the BOI (all those that get negative publicity here state this as fact, even Upchuck stated this) surely they are wealthy beyond means and retired to a nice resort island somewhere

You are probably right ....But i was just being pesimistic. But in all honesty I did here that he was "suppose" to be going to Florida to goto work for someone there and if someone could verify this ??( Neil) have you heard from Sal is he in the Sunshine state ? im sure that ALOT of people would like to have a little "alone" time with him but hopefully atleast now he wont be stealing peoples money and saying he's going to ship them a cage . So iwould say that we all know what his cages look like so if anyone in Florida suddenly pops up selling melamine caging i would say that Sal is involved.

The reason I asked is that I had bought a lot of 10 ball pythons from him last July they all died within 2 days. He then sent a replacement of 5 that came out of south carolina and they were tick infested and wouldn't eat and died in a week. Being niave or trusting I told him I would wait until this spring for a new batch. Well looking at his web site I came across a link for the fauna apparently he had problems with a Ken. After reading the threads on him I don't believe I will see those snakes or my money back. I guess I can thank him for finding this site at the low cost of 175. I would appreciate it if anyone hears from him though I would like to talk to him.

I have this before in another thread but will say it here as well. Anyone that is owed money or products from Upstate Exotics needs to know that Alison and Sal are BOTH responsible for those animals and products. Both names are were/listed on the business and both parties are responsible for the expenses. Alison is still running Moonlit Media but as for Sal I heard he had moved to Florida as well. Neil don't you have more information on his location here in Florida? Also I am sure that Alison knows exactly where he is. Otter_23 when you purchased those animals Sal and Alison were still together and working as a business team so she is responsible for the animals as much as Sal is. I would contact her about it directly and try to see what she will do and what contact information she has for Sal now.

Ok this was the location / Final Destination that Sal was "suppose" to be heading to to resume his reptile helperisim / internship lol . I know that for a FACT the owners of NEXTWORLD EXOTICS were aware of SAL's shady down right pathetic past as i had seen them reading many of the latest threads on him screwing people on cages and this was before he ever left NYand also i think it was just after the seperation. Now while i cannot speak for why they would associate with him even being involved in there operation if that was infact his final destination and i am not saying thats his location but was the "rumor mill" I agree with Rob that at the time of your deal that He & Allison were a "team" and i have to say even after she left that she can be somewhat accountable for people who were screwed over due to the fact that her PAYPAL account was the source peoples funds were sent and products never recieved.So i would say even then she was a accessorie after the fact because she knew Sal's track record better then most. I have called him 8 times and heard his voice and name on the answering machine and have received NO contact back. Neil Gubitz is how I contact him now. If you would like his phone number, I ask 2 favors:

2. Be reasonable about the amount of call that you place

A few months ago I drove to CT to pick up an albino boa from a private owner named Shannon. Upon talking with her she told me of a sad story regarding the rest of her collection she had sold shortly beforehand. She said she was really upset after having been ripped off by a husband and wife team based in NY state. Before she even mentioned their names I had a very strong suspician as to who they were because there was an ongoing thread at that time concerning Upstate Exotics.
The story went that she drove over two and a half hours away to upstate NY from CT with several prime animals that she needed to sell but was afraid to ship. The deal was supposed to be she would receive $750 for them in cash (around half of what she said they were worth) but when she met this couple they had only brought $150 in cash and a check book. Having driven so far she decided to accept a check from them for the balance. Upon returning home she immediately called the bank to find out there were no funds available. Mind you the animals were already at a bargain price to begin with and this couple got them for a whopping $150.
Upon returning home I immediately e-mailed Shannon a link to the Fauna thread on Sal and Alison and Upstate Exotics. She wrote back to confirm that they indeed were the couple that had ripped her off.
I told her she should persue some legal recourse because I explained these type of scum thrive on innocent people such as her. I don't know whether or not she ever filed any complaints but at least I tried my best to help her.
So Sal says he's made restitution to all, huh? I severely doubt it!
To bad because this poor girl was so sweet. I wish I could confront these jerks in person!

Mark.... the only thing I can tell you is that Sal's phone number is 516-883-5538 and his email addy is [email protected].... that is the only two ways I have been able to get in touch with him.... I can tell you that he got a full time job driving a large tow truck in Boca, and I seriously doubt he will be back in the reptile or cage business.... of course, I can't guarantee it....
I never knew about you or the poor girl in NH that Greg mentioned.... I can't tell you how many times I have literally screamed and yelled at him over the phone at some of the things he did in his business, trying to make him do the right thing, some things he listened to, some things he didn't.... I have no control over him, he's a big boy and will do whatever he wants....
After he paid me off what he owed me about 10 days ago, I haven't heard from him since.... if he calls me, I'll relay your message to him.... whether he gets in touch with you or not, is strictly up to him....
I am kinda pissed that he got me involved in some of this, I've got a lot of things in my own business to take care of.... but, when the opportunity arose where I could help alleviate some of the problems for his very upset customers, I did.... but, from now on, it will only be "verbal" help and not "monetary"....
Good luck in your endeavors of getting back what's rightfully yours....
