    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Is that so.......since when has that become something that you are incapable of? The last good guy post I remember someone giving you was a complete lie. Corey Kingsbury.......remember him? The guy that said he always drives down with his family and hand picks all of the animals he wants, but has such a hard time because there are so many that he wants. The guy that said, "Sal always throws in a couple of animals for free." The guy that said he has been doing lots of business with you and never had a problem. Remember?

Well as we all know, Corey came back on the board and posted that they were all lies. That he had never purchased from you before, that was the first time yada, yada, yada. That started a whole new thread full of lies about Upstate Exotics! Did you come forward after Corey made his original post and say "Well as much as we would like it to be true, Corey has never purchased from us before." NO! You went right along with all of his lies because they made you look good! Sheesh!

Was it "fair" what you did to Tony? Stealing his money and not returning it for 5 months, mean while calling him a complete liar?

Was it "fair" when you sent whiteblackbird a sick, wild caught yellow rat snake when she ordered TWO captive hatched babies only to have that snake die in a week?

Was it "fair" to try and ruin Dave Lawson by posting an arrest report about Dave Lawson that had nothing to due with reptiles? How do you, being in NY, have any idea what Dave Lawson is doing in FL.? Did you and Dave have a bad reptile deal? No. Neil told you to do it! Real classy!

You are the last one's that should preach about what is "fair!"

I have dealt with sal a number of time the customer service was great and or deal was good. I can only post how i feel on the dealings we have had. I never new who they were untill I seen them on here and all the bad posts normally i would have just passed them by but i got a good referance from a freind of mine who has delt with them on a number of occasions. I gave them a chance and everything is working out. I feel bad about the things that have happend I never like to see anybody get "burned" but I think everybody has "bad deals" with anybody you take your chances I guess how the company deals with it is what counts, maybe they didn't do the right thing I don't know but i can only say I am glad i have done buisness with them and will keep on doing buisness with them.

Like I said to apache, I am really glad you had a good deal with Upstate Exotics. I hate to see anyone get taken, so I am thankful that your deal went well, and I am not disputing the validity of your claim.

However, the fact that Upstate got a deal done right is something I chalk up to the old hillbilly axiom "even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then!" I would not count on them for anything, however, because they are proven, not suspected -- PROVEN, liars and scammers!

By the way, Jeff, I find your quote at the bottom of your post to be not only true in the intended sense, but also a wonderful analogy of Upstate's situation. It reads, "The greatest magic act in the world was when the devil made everybody think he didn't exsist." But it could read, "The greatest magic act on the BOI was when Upstate Exotics made some people think they weren't scammers anymore."
 
First of all sorry about the spelling my bad. second of all I could care less if upstate has a bad name or not I still feel your are gambling on anybody out there. As far as upstate what about all the good deals they had where are them people at. I'll tell ya you got 50 pages of bad posts all the same thing just over and over again all the same people over and over again. then one guy post a good experance and everybody jumps his rear end for posting that all im saying is that i agree with what everybody on the "Bad Deal" because like i said I feel bad for that. I am not standing in upstates corner by no means but like I said you take your chances. I got burned on 500 bucks by some local breeder after the phone call i got an email from the guy telling me to "eat it" I was pissed but thats the chance I took. Just one mans opinion i guess.
 
OK, this is where I have to say something.
These people who have posted that they bought from upstate shouldn't be put down for it, ie spelling. People who do not like upstate need not be petty to those who do.
 
I agree that spelling should not be a basis for questioning someone's veracity of a deal gone good with Upstate. However, I think the point being made is that the same spelling mistake is shared by the "two" who are posting here on behalf of Upstate, as though the same person is posting under two separate names.

While I think it's pretty thin, the misspelling is only being pointed out as a clue to actual identities, not a basis of derision for spelling ability. It is interesting that both parties frequently forget to capitalize their "I" when using the first person, singular, pronoun, though.

for your own info "IF" upstate is buying people to come on here and put Good Guy post for him how many what sit and argue with you I wouldn't, I make more then enough money with the Two companies I own I don't need to be "PAID OFF" besides how would you all know what the hell I buy and who I buy from Thats right you don't and you don't care but when somebody comes on here to say "hay I had a good deal" you want to say people bought him off GET A LIFE "buisness" I never claimed I could spell so my gramical error means I have been bought see how stupid that sounds. This is a good guy post just once I would like to see something good come of it raither then another 50 page post on how bad upstate is. LET IT GO sal had a couple good deals and a couple bad ones. you got the choice who you buy from if you don't like him don't buy from him as for me and my "buisness" I will keep going there. beleave what you want.....

Let me clarify something Dennis as it seems you are either trying to fabricate something or you're a straight out liar. COREY TOOK BACK HIS POST B/C HE GOT BUSTED ON OWING US MONEY FOR ANIMALS HE TOOK AND NEVER PAID FOR!!!!! He HAS PURCHASED FROM US BEFORE and READ THE OTHER POST AND YOU WILL SEE THAT!!!!
 
Dennis was just a little confused on what Corey admitted to lying about, Alison. What Corey said initially was that he had been to your place multiple times and hand picked his own purchases. It was only after he was found out that he then admitted that he had never been there before (not that he had never done business with you, as Dennis mis-remembered).

Still, the point is valid. You have shown a willingness to let your customers knowingly lie, so long as the lie was in your favor. Of course, you lie for your own favor all of the time, so I guess there's no inconsistency in that approach!

Do you deny letting Corey say things that you KNEW were untrue, with no attempt to correct him? We know you did, but go ahead and deny it, if you want. It would only be true to form.

What Corey posted in the good guy thread was TRUE. He loved our place and our animals and our customer service, such the reason why he purchased from us. Yes, we threw in a few small items, things that cost just a few dollars. Which we do with alot of our customers, a free turtle, a free iguana, etc. ALOT of "buisnesses" to that....so what, that means now b/c we threw in a $1.50 turtle to someone, we're paying them off???

Common sense...he finds out he's busted on "stealing" animals, as people here on the BOI put, and now he tries to do everything to validate why he shouldn't pay. Please, think about it, do you honestly think there would be a single thing out of place when we knew someone was coming to hand-pick animals? Do you actually think someone would come and hand pick animals if our facility wasn't in tip-top shape? I know myself, or anyone else, would not go walking into a pet store, see the entire store turned upside down and "filthy" as it was put, and still buy animals.

His post was true, therefore needed no correction. Only after did he try to retract that, but he also tried claiming all the hand-picked animals he took were not sellable and half dead....all so he could try to validate getting out of paying us the $451. Which we STILL have not received and are pursuing.

It's plain and simple what you're trying to do....you're trying every means to bring this good guy post bad....but there's nothing left to make it bad, you're scounging the bottom of the barrel, trying to make up anything you can, or try to twist any story.

We've changed alot of our policies and trying to do things different. But it's obvious Darrin, Dennis and Wes, that you will use any means and any tactic to try and still destroy any good guy posts we get. So here's what we do.....if you don't like us, don't buy from us, and unless you do have a bad deal with us, you can keep your "bad guy" attitudes on the bad guy posts.
 
upstate..frankly i fall asleep most of the time reading long page after page postings so i consider myself un informed when it comes to your doings..that being the case and lets say you choose to accept that concept..let me with no bias offer a suggestion..
dont come on here and tell this guy or that guy what he or she should do..thats exactly what you claim they are doing to you and you find it unfavorable.
accept the suggestion ..thank them..move on.
whilst your upgrading your methods or whatever your doing there..someone comes on here and makes cracks like geesh..i got a 2 dollar thing a ma jigger..they paid me off..

a mututal friend asked me to think this situation out as a favor and post my thoughts..i didnt feel it was necessary to hide my thinking so i came here and made my thinkings public.
what i notice about your methods at times when im actually paying attention and not again zzzzz is that you get stuck on little details and miss the big picture..
please take a moment and think about what im saying.
if you do right it will be known and all will be ok in the end.
just concentrate on being the best persons you can be and nobody will miss it.

This is a post about a good deal i am still woundering how cory got brought into this WHO CARES like i said nobody on here fully knows the whole storys these people come up with some are true others are not and who are we to judge. one person could be lieing and you people tear the company up and spit them out no mater if it was there fault or not. Yea the BOI helps but are we getting honest post maybe maybe not I don't know and neither do you. We all are so quick to judge and not so quick to find out the truth. working in a company that deals with people that fake insurance claimes i wouldn't put it past anybody to make fake stuff to fake deaths and stuff. There are just as honest people out there that honestly got screwed and I feel sorry for them. but i have no respect for the fake stuff.

You let this lie lay because it made you look good. You should have stepped up and told the truth. HA. Not bloody likely.

Now that corey has had problems with you he has told the truth, that he had NEVER been to your place before. Better late than never but, now he is known to lie on occasion. Hopefully it will not happen often, as most assuredly is the case with you and upchuck.

Now here's a little human nature lesson for you. People will ignore a lot of crap if they think they can make a buck down the line. If the potential is there to make MANY bucks they will ignore large stinking piles of crap. corey saw dollar signs when he left your place, the one and only time he was EVER there, and probably ignored some crap.

In your defence, and I hate to do this as you well know, since I have never seen your place I do not KNOW whether or not it is clean. That's not the point here. The point is THAT YOU KNOWINGLY LET OTHER PEOPLE LIE FOR YOUR BENEFIT!!! Then when they own up to the lie you spin spin spin.

Apache, if you really had a good deal with upchuck, you're lucky. I told corey the same thing when he LIED for them. Turned out his luck turned when the animals started to die. The rest is fodder for another thread.

Alison, with time, honesty, and integrity you, yes even you, could turn your reputation around. To do that, however, you would need to stop the lying, spinning, and selling of sick animals for a goodly period of time. It doesn't seem as though you can. I actually wish you could. Oh well. As the saying goes- if wishes were fishes........

And yes, I do get caught up in the little things....like Wes' last post I'd love to blast right now b/c he hasn't read anything i've posted here. But I guess after talking to a brick wall, you sometimes have to just to let it go...not referring that you, Wes, are the brick wall, just a general statement.

But..I'll let that go (lol). I appreciate what you've said, I appreciate your advice, and I thank you.

Unfortunately, that's where the BOI comes in. I feel like I am trying to constantly prove that we're changing, prove we're doing the right thing, and it doesn't matter to ME anymore what I think...it all matters what the handful of people on here think....

and I guess that's where I'm wrong. It shouldn't matter.

It takes time to undo such a reputation as you've built yourself alison, sometimes lots of time. Hopefully a year from now you'll have a string of good guy recomendations, if you're still in this business.

It truly shouldn't matter what anyone but you thinks or knows, however, when you do business on the internet that is not going to be so easy because public opinion carries a lot of weight and if you disagree with that public opinion you need to be able to prove that yours is the right opinion.

As part of the general public I have an opinion about you personally and your business. You have fostered and grown this opinion all by yourself. It's not good. This is no ones fault but yours alison. You can change it but, not by next tuesday. Maybe by next May. You've dug yourself a very very very deep hole. Climb on out and change things for real. Then when someone comes on and says you did not do them right I'll ask them for proof and follow up on it just like I am doing for/to you now.
