    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey all...just had to toss my 2 cents in....I am Robin's friend and was at her her house shortly after she received her snake. There is no way in heck two snakes that size could have fit into that box.
I ALMOST bid on a rough green snake that they had on Repti-bid but I am SOOOOO glad I did not!

I wonder how many other people have been screwed over by Upstate....they even have a bad review through BBB because they never responded to an inquiry. Does not surprise me.

Upstate, I just thought you might like to know that I received two exquisite HEALTHY BABY cornsnakes this morning. It's nice to know that there are honest, caring breeders (thanks, Wes) out there.

BTW, you might want to know that I contacted your local Humane Society. I thought that since you don't seem to care about your animals or potential customers, the Humane Society should probably come in and check on the conditions your animals are subjected to.

And Paypal tells me that you now have a black mark on their records and if others complain, they will pursue you.

How are you? That's great, you received your new snakes. IM so glad this experience with Upstate Exotics did not turn you away from this fantastic hobby. Even though there are some of bad guys like upstate Exotics, I know there are more good guys in the business. Again I am very happy that you received your new snakes.

Alison just keep the arrogant attitude every time you screw people over it will definitely catch up with you. Its a shame the animals that you obtain to sell have to suffer.

While I'm glad that Robin has her new snakes from Wes, and that she is pleased with them . . . and while I understand the need she feels to make certain Upstate Exotics feels her wrath for jerking her around . . .

I think we all need to consider all of the ramifications of involving the Humane Society in these disputes between herpers. I agree that Upstate Exotics deserves whatever they get, but HSUS is looking for any and all ammunition to shut down the reptile trade completely. Surely we can find a different way to get our barbs in without inviting the enemy into our camp to help destroy what we all love?!?!?

I just wanted to point out the danger of allowing our need for vengeance to outweight our need to protect ourselves from those who would take away our rights. No personal attack on Robin is intended in any way here.

Sorry if a differing opinion stepped on your toes, Robin. I really am glad you got what you wanted from Wes.

I just would have handled Upstates Exotics differently and wanted to let others know, for future reference, that your actions might have repercussions beyond what you had considered for the herp community as a whole.
 
Hey Guys, just so you know, Robin is a total newbie and had no idea that there were any negatives to involving the humane society. She actually thought they would be helpful. Now she's had a second tough to swallow lesson thanks to upchuck.

So, in the future, before we, as in us oldtimers, as I now consider myself, jump down someones throat, we might consider just how much experiance they have actually got. I mean, if you saw a dog being kicked by some jerk the humane society is the right place to call, just not for reptile related problems. And most of us have far more experiances with mammals than reptiles.

Wow what a mess! All that money he took from people that was seized for child support that he never paid? Did you see the photos of the mess he made of that house? Good god what a mess!!!
I hope no one else gets ripped off by those people. Seems they make a living doing that sort of thing.

Tony, I don't know how you stumbled across that information, but I do believe it's relevant to show a pattern of behavior.

I must be really naive. I realize that everyone makes errors, absolutely everyone. I also realize that sometimes circumstances go beyond our control regardless of how honorable our intentions are.

With that in mind, I am constantly giving the benefit of the doubt in the most damning of circumstantial evidence. I have a really hard time believing that people *intend* to rip other people off. I get truly disheartened when I realize that a person or company really has no conscience.

I've read and participated in this thread. While I found the attitude displayed by Upstate aggravating at times, I justified even that with the understanding that Sal & Allison must be feeling *totally* defensive. At one point, I was confident that if this hullabaloo would just die down, Sal & Allison might quietly get things worked out.

Now I almost feel sorry for Sal & Allison. How hard it must be for them to feel satisfied with or proud of themselves. How difficult must it be for them to look in the mirror and realize what message they are sending to their children. When do you think they last had a restful sleep?

Tony, I hope you get your money, one way or another. I hope to heaven that those people with the remodeling projects are compensated. I hope that more innocent people will be spared all this distress by checking this thread or the one referenced above in Tony's post.

I vehemently hope that Sal & Allison eventually realize that *nothing* will ever work right for them until they change their opportunistic behavior.

Anyone who reads this thread and still buys from them is just asking to get ripped off, and will deserve it when (not "if," "when") it happens. Those purchasing from them without having read this thread will wish they had, when the wheels come off of their deal.

You two people (Sal and Alison) ought to be ashamed of yourselves, but I sincerely doubt you are. Terese asked about how you two must sleep at night. I suspect you sleep just fine. One must first have a conscience in order for it to cause one to lose sleep over scamming innocent people! I'd say you two a good and rested.
