    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

There clearly seems to be a track record of habitual offences pertaining to improper business practices with companies owned by either Sal or Alison Tornambene... If you had read this thread in its entirety, you will see clearly the consistent lies and manipulation of facts from Upstate Exotics owned by Sal & Alison Tornambene. Upstate Exotics has proven in this thread how poorly they handle customers, their animals, and of course, how they handle not being able to tell the truth. Precise remodeling is owned by Sal Tornambene and look at that company’s track record. Precise Remodeling is shown having the same type of bad business issues that Upstate Exotics is involved in, minus the dead animals. Possibly over time other companies owned by this owner/management team will come to light with the same scams being evident. I suggest clicking on this link below rip-off report and see more victims that have suffered. Upstate Exotics, Moonlit media, Precise Remodeling all share the same phone number. Same owners, same management team, same morals, same business concept and same ethics...

Hi Everyone,

I would like to thank everyone who has read this thread and posted their comments. I would like to thank this site for providing a place where victims can come and show the facts in which the bad guys can be exposed. Many of you have asked Upstate Exotics pertinent questions pertaining to the facts shown and stated. As usual Upstate Exotics performed the little dance called the side step. Upstate Exotics never came clean in this entire thread; all they have stated are lies and have manipulated any and all forms of information and documentation. I hope that this thread has helped people not become victims of Upstate Exotics and continues to do so. Thanks so much for your interest and time.

Glad you got your money back, Tony. What's even better for the industry, though, is that these two have been clearly shown to be what they are at their core . . .scammers, liars, and crooks!

Hi Tony,
its great to see that after 4 long months , you finally received your refund. This thread is a good example of how to come forth as a victim and succeed. The facts were clearly stated and shown, also no false acusations were made, documents provided at a later date in the thread only solidified the origional post against upstate exotics.

I think you made a good point. It appears Upstate exotics expected an apology from Tony and others.(IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT). I would definitely expect an apology from upstate to Tony. An apology from upstate would be appropriate, but would definately NOT change my opinion of them.
The only thing that upstate state was consistant about in t his thread, was lying, manipulating facts and not answering questions asked of them. And Rob, I think that little comment that she directed towards you really shows her true character.(control P).

I believe you asked a question of allison , did you have anything to do with tony's refund? The answer to the question is basically this, accsording to the document allison provided, document states , reason for charge back was 90 day non receipt of merchandise. The same document shows a quote that states"If you receive this charge back for non receipt of requested item, master card/visa regulations do not allow a reversal of this type of charge back"

Yes I agree her actions show what kind of person she is and we all know this now. She tried on many occasions to shift the focus to someone else and she tried on me a few occasions but it did not work. You would not believe how many customers of mine have talked to me about reading this thread (and the others on Upstate) and have stated they will never purchase from them. I am glad that Alison felt that the $180 was worth the loss of her sales, customers, and probably down the road Upstate Exotics.

Amen to that!!!

Its a shame too. I have found at times Alisons personality to be fun, and there are a lot of times I have seen animals that they have that I want. I will not buy from them on the chance that there is something wrong. Its a shame they only see the money that is going into their pockets instead of the money that COULD be going into their pockets if only they took more care of the animals they receive and treats sour deals as pleasantly as they treat the good deals.
They are holding on now but time will tell and evenually take its toll and they will have no one to look at but themselves.

Maybe since upstate is such good friends with Neil Gubitz they should take his path and start selling gem stones and jewelry, at least that doesnt die!
 
If those two organizations (Upstate Exotics and Neil Gubitz) started selling gem stones, I would want to buy lots of stock in paste and food coloring companies!
 
Darin, you had better buy your stock now because Neil has already started! Take a look at his website, he has a fine collection of gem stones and jewelery for sale....ha....ha...!

I believe that I wrote that some of the businesses were to be avoided, not all. As I said before, I actually was impressed with her work, but really would not want to be associated with her company at all. The only reason I mentioned it was in agreement with Wendy, and due to the list of reptile related sites she had done. I noticed some companies such as Upstate, and others that she listed, and it made me think of some of the bad threads that I've seen here. Sort of like how it seems like their was alot of shady stuff going on in a certain part of Florida..... Well, alot of the times when I saw an add from Florida, I just kinda thought, well its a gamble and would generally skip over the add. When she attaches your name to her website as client, sitting next to at least a couple known "Bad Guys", maybe people think, "it's a gamble". I personally do not think your treading water with them and have thought you too add valuable information to this website, but others might just see your site next to some pretty "interesting people". I also have picked up a beautiful male Albino Ball Python from Tom Carlton of Cypress Creek in Florida, so I hope you get what I'm saying and it is not meant to be offensive, just a viewpoint.

Someone may have already asked this question, I've kept tabs on Upstate for quite some time but I was NOT going to read through 40+ pages...we've obviously obtained more than enough negative feedbacks for Upstate here at the BOI. So why is it I still see their ads everyday at KS???? # strikes and you're out over there right?? Everyone who's been burnt needs to contact KS now...gotta get 'em off of there...let's put them in the same pile that Reptilepit is now laying in. It's sad when I know I've seen at least a dozen unhappy customers list details of poor driving record and for some reason they still have the driver's liscense.

Thanks and I'd have to agree to the being cautious. This is a matter were working on....... On the other.... Florida is definately getting to be a suspicious state in itself. I was born here and it seems that everytime that a serial killer is being tracked they "were last seen in FLA" LOL!!! We of course have a big transient population. People who have scammed everyone in other states run here and re-open. Seems strange since most of the people getting scammed are northerners moving from the same states they were in! LOL!! I've worked with herps for over 30 years and it's incredible how many people are in and out of the business down here. Not that it's a bad place. Great for herps. In the beginning of this thread I urged any one who had problems with purchases from Upstate Exotics that were advertised on King Snake to come forward with their information and contact king Snake. The email address I contacted was [email protected].

We are here in a strictly unbiased third party role. Should your claims
against the vendor be proven to have merit by
the appropriate authorities, our records can be accessed by you for any
subsequent legal action that may ensue.

However, having said that, we do have a three-strikes rule that states;
should a vendor at any time have three independant, unresolved complaints
against them, their account will be
suspended immediately until proof can be given that all complaints have been
resolved to the customers satisfaction.

The complaint you have filed with us at this point is used internally for
tracking "supposed" bad vendors.

Should you require any further assistance from this office please do not
hesitate to contact us.
 
Which tells me that since your case has been "resoved" (and it doesn't matter how it was resolved) your strike is now null and void.
KS is some piece of cake. I understand that money pays the bills, but, geesh, there is more to life and humans than just money.
It should be three strikes and you out, way out, meaning can't come back.

That’s a good point, its hard to impact a bad vendor when they are paying King Snake to advertise which in turn is paying King Snakes bills. King Snake is a profit website unlike Fauna that receives donations of support. I think this site has more of an impact and validly when it comes to shutting down the bad guys that are selling on King Snake. I did try to contact them a few times with no reply. I tried to explain to them that I still had no resolution. I explained to them about not receiving a refund but also non receipt of merchandise. I also followed their guidelines on the agencies they expected me to file with in which they received the case number. The email from King Snake was dated 04/29/03. Bank of America forced the charge back to my account from Upstate Exotics which was posted 08/22/03. There are many other issues in this thread that have come to light thanks to Alison’s semi manual on how to operate a business. This person robbed me, called me a liar since 05/01/03 and gave my personal information to another company that extracted funds from my bank account in which I had no knowledge of nor did I authorize. On top of all this was demanding an apology from the herp community!

Hi Rob,
It takes the entire herp community to get the bad guys and shut them down. This thread is a start; it exposed upstate Exotics for whom and what type on operation they really are. . When Alison created all of her diversions and there were several, you could tell she was desperate. Like a rat drowning and she was going to take as many people with her as she could. She tried to convince people I was a liar, defamation of character. She wanted to ensure my case had no validity, to create doubt in people’s minds. She tried to throw lies and mud on Rob T which in my opinion just back fired. Her comments to Rob showed her true colors and how low class she is. The attempted diversions with the two threads that were simultaneously posted, which just cemented the idea that upstate Exotics sells sick animals.

These people are exactly what Wendy defined them as " an open chest wound" they are going to keep hurting this industry and hobby unless people work together to ban the get rich quick at all cost mentality, while conducting improper business activities. It’s obvious that their mentality is that they do not care about the animals in which they sell. These types of businesses will cause more alarming issues and concerns when it comes to all these advocates that are trying to make cases against this industry and private ownership. There was a point when I thought they had more Cb advertised for sale then even the big breeders had in their inventory.

What amazes me is the idea of, well you can separate businesses from there owners. Let’s take it a step further, owner management team. You have company A, B are scamming people, lying and conducting many improper business practices any one that has followed this thread understand full well what that means. Then they are going to say company C is so well run and honest even though they have the same owner/management as the company that’s ripping people off. Name changes, opening and closing of companies and new sites intertwining like a spider web, everyone needs to pay attention!
