    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

URI Outbreak

:iagree::iagree:

One thing I have noticed that may be worth noting, is that (imo) a high percentage of animals that are "cooled" for breeding seem to develop an R.I.

Other than that, most R.I.s do seem to stem from husbandry issues.:eek:

As stated, in my instance the infection was started when I was shipped an infected animal. I havent cooled yet and my husbandry techniques haven't changed in 10 years.

Discussion forums are just that. Some information may pertain to your situation and some may not. However, the information is there for whomever it may apply. :shrug01: Just another source of R.I. that can or may be taken into consideration by the next reader.:shrug01:

Good luck handling your situation. It must be nerve-wracking.

I ordered my first bottle from there earlier this year and the one that arrived was already like a year past the expiration date. The one I got from Pro-Exotics is good to go. There are a few other breeders selling it now but I'm not sure who.

I just got mine in and it is good till March 2013. Maybe it was an accident? They packaged everything really good and even put extra stuff in the box, stuff that I didn't need because I don't have a bird but still it was nice.

Well, I got back from the vet and I've got a $160 bill and 12 syringes with antibiotics that needs to be administered every 3 days. Fun.

The first trip is usually always the most expensive :thumbsup: Glad you got something to get you going. Unfortunately I wasted my time with a different vet than I'm using now at first, he charged me $200 for 10 syringes of antibiotics that didn't do a thing for my snakes (took 2 in there). Then I found my vet, and he looked at 6 of them for $100 total, got me a prescription to fill at my local CVS as it was cheaper than getting the drug I wanted shipped to him. He's done my necropsies free since I lost them during treatment through him and for his own research. I've still spent over $600 after this whole ordeal though. It's good to always have a savings of money held over specifically for vet stuff, IMO!
