• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Steve told me about this situation this morning. I wasn't surprised at all. Sad for the animals.

A MultiMILLION dollar business (shaking lowered head). Apparently, some one's business got so big they decided to skim costs even more by not feeding the animals regularly (that is what it appears like to me)? THIS IS SAD.

Don't be fooled. This was planned all along.... if you read, they flew in people from "all around the world" to help with this raid.
It is a publicty stunt. We had to deal with the exact same thing in Indiana in 1998, when they were attempting to pass all kinds of stupid laws on keeping reptiles here. They had a "sting" operation going on at the same time, and came out and raided the local Reptile Show just weeks before the hearings.
Listen to what the reporter is saying, read what the reporter is writing.....
This was all timed to do as much damage as possible..........
WAKE UP.

Did we see skinny boas? dead gerbils? starving animals?????????
OR... are we just going to take the word of USHS and news people who are reading from a script????????????

If this is the same place I'm thinking of, a guy that I once worked with moved to Texas and got a job there. I remember him talking about a large animal, like a porcupine or something, that had been dead in its cage for weeks...

Disclaimer:I have no ties, nor have I purchased anything from U.S. Global Exotics, but I will say that if things are as deplorable as stated,it was a matter of time before this happened .I will also state that this is the last thing this community needed .I will also state there seems to be some feeling of gloating over this by the OP .I could be reading it wrong, but it seems like there is an inference of pleasure seeing this event take place .

Regardless of circumstance, remember that many are punished for the sins of a few,and a house divided will fall .I'm all for the animals being taken care of correctly, and if there is some truth, well they were operating on borrowed time, but I personally take no pleasure in reading this, and giving those people over at the HSUS another tasty morsel to sink their fangs in .

Well I have been to the place a couple of times and I believe what was reported about the conditions.

Remember the prairie dog plagues... look it up..

this all has happened before..

and yes I am very happy to finally see them shut down, I helped set them up years ago and use to help manage there business...and regret it. I have been one of there loudest(and seemingly only) critics..been involved in a massive lawsuit against him for what he did to someone..been threatened by his lawyers to keep my mouth shut etc.. lost friends etc.... vindicated isn't really the word that fits but does come to mind.
I am very happy to see this come to an end.. many people knew this was going on..and never said anything because they were either buying from them or selling to them...right Rich!!!...oh crap did I actually say that LOL.. here come the beatings!!

Wow! So the conditions were as bad as reported?
I wonder why it hasn't been reported before. Yikes!

It's been several years since I have been to the place but at that time they were just moving in to their current location. I didn't care for the way the animals were being cared for, no. I've heard people talk about how nasty is was currently, but that's all it was: talk. Like I said before, the reports didn't surprise me.
