Sorry this is so long, but I take it very seriously when discussing someone’s reputation and wanted to lay out all the facts as accurately as possible.
Here is a summary of my transaction so far with Victor121:
About a month and a half ago, he posted a classified for 15 normal and 2 het albino females. Here is the link to the ad:
http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225467
On February 6th, (The day the ad was posted) I called him about the female het albinos and he said he actually had 3 and someone was coming to look at them in about 15 min. He only posted 2 because he was thinking about keeping 1. He said he had a “big one” that was about 2600 grams and two others were in the 1600-1800 gram range and were purchased from Ralph Davis and he had certificates, he just needed to find them. Also as it was posted in the classified ad, he confirmed again that he had pictures of all the females locked with his male albino. He said he would call back after the person that was coming left and let me know if he still had any.
Later we started communicating by text and he said that the person who came only bought the one 2600 gram het albino and he had decided he was willing to sell both of the other 2. I agreed and bought them both. I told him I wanted the pictures he mentioned so I could be sure that if any eggs were laid, they would at least be hets. He had positive ratings, so I didn’t hinge the transaction on the pictures. He promised to send them as soon as he could (there was formatting/emailing issue).
About 1 week later, the snakes were delivered to my house (via UPS). I was at work, so my wife put them in their new quarantine racks. I usually wait 2 weeks to handle my new snakes as I like them to distress first. Instead, I checked the bags they were shipped in for signs of mites (which I didn’t find) and viewed them in their cages. 2 weeks later (and still no pictures after repeated requests) I pulled them out and one obviously felt smaller than promised. She weighed 1,300 grams. This might not be a big deal to some, but I just don’t breed until 1500 grams, so I wouldn’t have purchased her at all if he had given accurate information.
I emailed Victor about her weight and long story short; he said he would buy her back if I wasn’t happy. I wasn’t so I asked him how he would like to proceed with that transaction and then the communication stopped. Normally he was very fast at returning emails, but he just stopped responding. At that point to me, it wasn’t worth the risk of sending her back, so I tried to end the transaction on a good note offering to trade positive feedback since he did at least offer the refund. Basically, I was just looking for closure on the transaction.
Although we never traded ratings, I was going to just let it go until he recently posted a 4th 1500 gram female het albino which was possibly gravid and had been locked with the male albino he sold several weeks ago. This let me know he must have had this snake when we made our transaction. Here is that post:

I realize it was his choice if he wanted to keep one of his het albinos, that is not my issue. It’s more that he told me he only had 3, one of which he sold to someone else and now the one he is selling better fits the description than the one I received. Basically, combine that with the lack of the promised pictures and certificates and it all just seems fishy to me.
I have told him many times that if he would just send me the pictures of the locks that he promised he had or the certificates from Ralph Davis which he said he also had, then I would be satisfied. My theory with the pictures is that I could assume that there is a better chance that these are hets if he was breeding them to his albino or at the very least know that he didn’t just ship me 2 totally random snakes he had lying around.
He assured me that he wasn’t scamming anyone and that he does this as a hobby. He said he doesn’t need to scam people because he owns one of the largest plumbing companies in his area. I looked at some of his other posts and he has said this before in defending himself. He has provided this link for his huge plumbing company: www.IslandBathWorld.com
Problem is, the link is not currently active, which also just doesn’t look good.
I emailed Victor one last time a couple of day ago asking him to please provide the pictures that I was promised. This would certainly ease my mind. It says right in the post that he has “pics of all locks” If he will just share them with me, I will happily update this post.
