    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

hi i have a question. for the first months or so, i make a rookie, rookie mistake. i only had a uva bulb for my young beardies, and didnt realize that uva and uvb are two different kinds of uv rays. anyway i was wondering if theres any chance that no uvb stunted their growth? i mean now i have both uva and uvb bulbs in there tank and they've always ate just fine and shed and acted like a normal beardie. its just i see some younger beardies out there alot bigger then my beardies and was just wondering if that was possible. thanks.

It could be bossible, They weren't processing enough calcium which they need to grow. Now that you have fixed the problem they may catch up.

oh ok. thanks. im using a reptiglo 10.0 UVB strip light in both of my tanks, i heard thats the right one to use, it seems to be working, i mean if they're shedding and everything they must be growing right? lol. its hard to tell cuz i see them everyday.

Actually I have heard that the reptiglo 10 bulb is no good for your beardies and can actually harm them over a period of time. The reptisun 10 bulb is the best bulb to use for your dragons. I am sure someone else more knowledgable will explain what is bad about the reptiglo because I can't remember ..... lol Good luck !

oh really.? i thought it was just the repti-sun 10.0 compacts were bad, i thought the strip lights were fine. i dunno im sure someone will correct either me or you..lol but thanks for the heads up.

OK I went back and did my research just to make sure I wasn't telling you wrong. The Repti Glo 10 caused alot of eye problems in beardies when it first came out so it is not recommended to use. The Repti Glo 8 and Reptisun 10 are the recommended strip bulbs. And yeah you are right the compacts are terrible for beardies !

Nope, really, it's just me. I type for a living, so I'm sorta AR like that!

I just hope the info. answers your questions.

Well, if someone likes your post, they can give you karma for that post. I don't think we have the bad karma anymore (although I could be wrong), but you'd obviously use that one if you don't like someone's post. I think that's it, in a nutshell.

See, I never can get that caffeine balance just right.

I meant to add that you can give karma by pushing the little white legal scales button on the left (under your name and stuff).

Oh, and yes, we can give bad karma.

Is there more recent reseerach on Repti-Sun vs Repti-glo? I have beardies, mostly in 55gallon tanks, hoping to eventually get them all traded for 75 gallon tanks. I have old uv lights on them figuring something is better than nothing. I can't decide which to buy and know I need to buy them asap...
