In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Value of female brass ball

Being that they hardly ever come available for sale at that size I'd say there is no "normal" price.
I'll throw out a guess of from $1500 to $1750

I would estimate a lil higher. Female adult vanillas have a pretty good demand for now. I see them in quite a few trade requests. A combo ready to breed I would estimate slightly higher than Jerry. IMO, more in the $2000-$2500 based on quality. But If you find a good one at Jerry's price I would strongly consider it. :D

A good way I use for guesstimating female adult prices, (1200 grams per say), Is to try and find an ad for hatchlings of what your looking to sell/buy, and mutiply it by 3. Obviously females of a larger or smaller size you adjust the price accordingly

We'll use pastel for instance.
.1 2012 Pastel ($200)

2008 Proven Lemon Pastel female #05F3 - $750 or best offer
1700 grams
Produced eggs the last 2 seasons (6 eggs last year and 7 eggs this year) NO SLUGS!

Heres a good example I pulled straight out of the classifieds here on fauna.

Now lets step it up and look up a couple pewters.
0.1 Pewter $400
(ad didnt have a weight but they said its a 2012)

2009 Pewter female 1,200 grams prefers live rats but will take f/t rats sometimes $1250 Sold

Now of course you will have variences based on quality and what each individual wants for their animals, but this way atleast helps with some sort of general idea. Unfortunately I cant find anything on a brass ball, so your kind of in the dark on that one.

Got some pics of her?

There is a listing for Brass Ball (Vanilla Black Pastel) on Fauna right now for $1,000 for 1200g female.

This price is about half of what others estimated one to be worth thus far.

I would study up on whoever you buy from, see pictures, check out BOI also. Good luck on your hunt. People can be quick with the "where to send money" information, but slow to send pictures or info about themselves.

Too good to be true often is.

My guess is that is the one he's talking about...fwiw, I attempted to contact that person about an hour and a half after the ad was posted; and I still haven't received a response (it's been 4 days).

I tried as well Harald. I did actually speak with the seller, he called me after I texted for pictures. Told him I was interested in buying his snakes. I said I was reluctant since I had no idea who he was and he had just joined Fauna. He never sent pictures after that and then never responded. Hum???

Just my experience, not saying anything besides that.

Sounds like someone just trying to make a quick $1000 off of a snake they prolly dont have, or wont send. I dont think a potential scam would be a good basis for a real price. I mean we've all seen het pastels on craigslist for a steal at $500.

Just got her! I'll post pics later. She's also possibly a spotnose! She has the spot but not 100% guarantee. I got a great deal on her. Kevin@ NERD saw it and guaranteed it to be a brass ball as well as underground reptiles. I'm breeding her to a pinstripe sulfur this year so hopefully I'll get a pretty crazy clutch!

When I spoke to the seller and explained that I didn't know who he was, his response was to rattle off names of people who could vouch for him, funny enough the same names the OP gave too.

Perhaps MA is a super tight knit area and I am way off, but:

2 parties both join Fauna within a month of each other, recently.
2 parties live within 1 hr from each other (according to what was filled out on Fauna)
2 parties use the same references for vouching
2 parties don't have pictures

Do I dispute that the snakes actually exist, not really, but sure seems like something odd going on at best.

Even if pictures surface, probably will, doesn't take away any of the oddness.

If I am off base, I accept the backlash.
