    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I picked up a VE300x2 as part of a police seizure we worked on. It was missing the probes, but appeared to be in good working order otherwise. I ordered the probes and it seemed to work for about two weeks. We had a power outage and when we got electric back on, it stopped working at all. Display and options say they are okay, but nothing that is plugged into it will turn on. and it only allows me to adjust settings for one zone. I downloaded the user manual (btw- kudos to VE for making that available to all) and followed everything, still nothing. Could it be a fuse issue? No indication of that and I am not that fanilar with the item

Thanks for any help.

I work with electronic thermostat controlled ceramic kilns and a common problem is the relays going out.
if they fuse shut, the kiln heats uncontrollably; if they freeze open the kiln does not heat up. These thermostats are not that different other than the voltage and temperatures being dealt with. It sounds like a bad relay... possibly caused by a power surge when the power came back on?

I would Contact Vivarium electronics and see if they repair them (or if it is worthwhile to repair)

You can email rich at reptile basics to see if he can help, but checking the fuse wouldn't hurt. It's located by the power plug. I use a flathead screwdriver to pop it out and there should be a spare in there if it's blown.
