    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So heres whats going on, i have a female brazilian rainbow thats about 8 years old, the last clutch she had was about 1 1/2 years ago. she laid some slugs about 6 months ago, and since then, she goes into shed, sheds, and within just a couple days, she goes into shed again! she has litterally shed about 14 times within 5 months! and she really hasnt been eating normally either so its not from growing. anybody have any idea why?:shrug01:

thanks,

josh

Check the temperatures.
I have experienced that before with a different type of snake. The cage was in a stack, and the temperatures in that one were too high (all the heaters were on the same controller, but only that cage got hot...not quite sure why)

hey harold, thanks for responding. seems like your the only one to ever post! lol i have it in a 4ft ap cage with the heat coil and the thermostats set at 90 with a basking lamp where its showing about 86 and then the cool side of the cage running 83.

could be mites? or maybe the start of belly rot or a belly burn? That's the only time I've seen rainbows shed over and over.

:iagree: Also, if you haven't, check for retained eye caps. It could also cause an increase in shedding (I don't know about 14 times in five months but I guess stranger things have happened :shrug01:)

mite free havent had mites for 5 years, and i checked last shed and eye caps came off. i use purified water, so they shed pretty good. hmmm.......... can they get caterax as they get older? her eyes are clear after shed, but within a day or 2 they get a little opague then goes into shed aagin? strange indeed!
