In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sold an emaciated, dehydrated fire ball python to me. She also shipped standard overnight. So it got here around 24hrs of travel time. It was half the weight she quoted it to be, and seeing how far recessed the eyes are in the snakes head, it had been this way for a while. If you buy, ask for a pic taken from that day. Also insist that a 10:30am delivery be mandatory.... I don't give bad reviews, but this one deserves to be told.

Can you provide pics from the ad, or a link to it? I'd like to see what you thought you were getting, as well as what you actually got. And of course all the e-mails, too. Have you contacted Vicki and informed her of this thread? Always nice to hear both sides.

I am hesitant to post a bad review of Vicki, but I will share my experiences and let you decide for yourselves.
Here is the first email I sent, in response to a Kingsnake advertisement.

Who did you acquire these El Rosarios from originally? Provided they came from a reputable breeder, I will probably be interested in purchasing them. What would shipping be to 98019? Also, do you have any more rosys available? Thanks for answering all of my questions, I am looking forward to doing business with you.
Sincerely, Ross Baker

Hi Ross,

Sorry for the delay in answering your email. It went into my spam for some reason.

Yes, I did acquire these El Rosarios from a reputable breeder but I have moved & can't remember who it was I bought them from.
I just checking FedEx shipping to 98019 FedEx priority overnight is $60.
These are all the rosy's I have for sale.
I just got out of the Rosy's, but I will have tons of various ball pythons & coral albino boas soon.

Thank you!
Vicki

I received the two snakes a few minutes ago. I am concerned with the
packing job, as it appeared that instead of 40 hour heat packs you
used two hand-warmer style products. Both heat packs were cool to the
touch upon arrival, and the snakes each temped in at 67 degrees when
measured with my Raytek MT-4 tempgun. This was after I had the rosys
in their heated rack boxes for several minutes, so I can only assume
that they arrived at least slightly cooler. Although I am well aware
that rosys brumate at temperatures significantly lower than this, I am
concerned that these low temperatures may have an effect on the
digestion of their previous meals. Even though your customer service
has been excellent, I don't think that I can now write a good review
of your business, or recommend you to a potential customer due to this
corner-cutting shipping job.
Sincerely,
Ross Baker

Hi Ross,

Hi Ross,

Thank you for letting me know the Rosys arrived safely.
The digestion of the previous meal is not a problem at all as the last time they were fed was weeks ago so there is definately no problem with digestion.
Had they eaten recently or if the weather was bad I would have sent them with 2 - 40 hour heat packs.
I do not ever cut corners on anything to do with my business.
I use only the best shipping boxes, appropriate heat packs & styrofoam.

Thank you for your business.
Sincerely

Okay thank you for the information. I hat to think that anyone would
jeopardize the safety of their snakes, but I know that their are some
bad apples in this business. I am glad that you had considered this.
Thank you for your reassurance.
Sincerely,
Ross Baker

Absolutely! I have run into more than my share of bad apples in this business.
This my my business & I've doing this way too long to risk any short cuts.
Mostly I just wouldn't risk the safety of my snakes.

Thank you
Vicki

I will take pictures and get weights of the snakes to show their condition (moderate to poor) if anyone would like.

Here was my experience as well. I chose not to buy from her, as I had concerns with her not knowing which one the female was, especially after the ad said they had bred & not knowing any other info for them.

Hi Tara,

Not sure how old they are as I bought them as adults about 3 or 4 years ago.
Can't remember which is the female.
They eat mice.
Thanks
Vicki

Thanks,

Tara Timms

I am assuming this add below is the same vicki selling the "coral" albino boas mentioned above.

Many people are guilty of this these days, but the boa pictured in this add is not a coral for what its worth...

Now I will admit I have never kept Rosy boas.... but what I highlighted just seems sooooo wrong to me. Makes me wonder what kind of conditions the seller keeps their animals in if they aren't feeding them for weeks on end.

Southern Wolf, Rosy boas can go for long periods without food, but in breeding season they should be fed at least every 10-14 days. I feed mine my females every 6-7 days during breeding season. Looking at the weights of these snakes it is not at all hard to believe that they were not fed for a few weeks. In my mind this could mean three things, either the seller has no knowledge of rosy boas, she is cutting corners by not feeding regularly, or she is covering her poor shipping job. I really do not care which it is, in my opinion they are all equally poor practices.

Dustin (OP), can you please post any photos, emails you have? without that info there's not much to go by, some proof would really help you case.

I sent fauna user ID 'VickiNickeson' a PM alerting her to this thread

I inquired about these albinos, requesting information on parents. To my suprise, her response was that they were all sold, even though the add keeps coming up.

Fire Ball Python

This animal was not emaciated or dehydrated, his eyes are just a bit deeper set. The only reason the snake was shipped standard overnight instead of priority overnight is weather was nice and warm & I did ship with two (2) heat packs & 3/4" styrofoam, as always. I did send pics to the buyer as requested prior to his purchase.

Rosy Boas

Yes, Tara is correct, I didn't know the details she was asking about the Rosy's as the Rosy's records were lost in our move. I have very detailed records of all the ball pythons & boa's I own/produce.

Here was my experience as well. I chose not to buy from her, as I had concerns with her not knowing which one the female was, especially after the ad said they had bred & not knowing any other info for them.

I received my new boa from Vicki at www.edenreptiles.com. She was wonderful...provided excellent customer service, had a lot of knowledge about the particular snake I was interested in, worked with me on price, and he arrived as toasty and healthy as can be. She comes highly recommended in my book. I now know that if I purchase another snake in the future, she is where I will go. She has a vast variety of Coral Albino Boas and normal and morph ball pythons. She provided me with records on my male and current pictures before purchase. She has good prices and her shipping standards were impeccable. We probably emailed back and for 20+ times before I finally committed to him. So, I would like to publically thank Vicki for providing me with such a pleasant and memorable experience and get the word out that she is well deserving of higher remarks. I have referred several of my peers to Vicki as well. Thanks everyone!:yesnod:

Thank you thill14 for the positive feed back! I had some bad luck selling a few rosy's my son had.. as you can see. So now I only sell what I have personally produced & have had 100% satisfaction! All my snakes are and always have been 100% satisfaction guaranteed! Thanks again!

seriously

Actually considering I live several states away and have never met her I am not just backing a friend. I can supply our emails if that helps. Before buying my snake I read the reviews on here when I was searching her credentials. After having such a good experience I did join the forum and decided I would post either a positive or negative review based upon the arrival of my snake. Google led me to her page and to this forum
I think everyone deserves a pat on the back when others have put them down. I posted my personal experience just as all others did. I did not become a member sooner because I did not own a snake anymore. Now I do. Now I am a member. Take it or leave my post, I could honestly care less... I had a great experience, others didnt- but I have just as much of a right to post as any of you do. Thanks for the warm welcome!!
