In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, I'm not unsure about Aaliyah anymore, this is way too visible to be anything but eggs, I can only see one. Do they hide behind each other? Sorry for the poor pictures, the eggs aren't as clear as when I look at them. I just stocked up her "house" with plenty of water, mealies, calcium, vitamins and her laying box is nice and moist. Time for her to have a nice week or two of R & R while those eggs get ready to pop.

I thought that the ovulation was the red spot? it disapeared about 2-3 days ago and that moved over to where it is from the other side

Are there veins around the egg? And did she breed? I havent really been following the other posts, but she definately looks liek she has one egg.

yeah she was bred while with Xavier still to one of his males at my request. He thought that there were eggs when he shipped her (not questioning you Xavier) but they never arrived. And I don't think that there are any veins around the egg....but this is the first time I've seen this so I'm a bit green. There better be an egg that hatches, I want to be able to show off my first hatchling before the year is up LOL

On a better note Everyone else is still acting perfectly healthy

Well theres a good chance shes gravid, sometimes if a gecko is really chubby, you cant till till the very end. My chubbiest female i can barely see the eggs.

basically an egg seed

Xavier I know you told me that but I just never saw this, so maybe this was the one developing and now that it's bigger I can finally see it.

Looks like an egg to me :) Is this her first time breeding? If so, first time breeders sometimes only lay one egg their first clutch or 2

yeah she's a first timer. If I only get one egg out of her all season that hatches I'll be ecstatic!! And of course I'm keeping that one, to see it when it grows up if nothing else. All the babies she produces are het bell

DIGGING DIGGING WE HAVE DIGGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this morning I checked on her and her lay box was empty....literally, should I put the vermiculite back?

I can't wait, this means she'll lay soon. She must have done it not long after I had her out, she was climbing all over me, just havin a good old time and my Shepherd, Jerry, even said hi to her, and she tried to climb on him. She was so laid back that I knew something was up. So I put her back, and today I see she was busy all night. Should I get her a deeper box? it's about 3 inches deep

*whistles* We have an excited surrogate mother in the house! *patpat* We all get that way, but it amuses me every time! :)

Excellent news! Keep plenty of vermiculite or peat moss or whatever in that chamber. If there's not enough she'll probably lay elsewhere. I've got a bunch of first-timers and I've already lost the first clutches on two geckos because they were inexperienced and laid in the wrong place (even after digging in their containers). I'd check up on them every few hours with a flashlight to make sure that they're inside the box. Oh yeah, and it's not incredibly unusual to get a single egg for the first clutch, so no worries there. Good luck! I'm excited for you!!

3'' is plenty of substrate, if you have the whole for her to enter and exit the lay box on the lid as a posed to the side of the container you should have very little to no substrate being moved from the box. There shouldn't be no difference from peat moss or vermiculite but I personally only use vermiculite for the egg containers and never have used them with the leos.

and.....no egg yet....but I just came home from work and she emptied the box again lol.

However, I turned her over and got a suprise! She not only has a very visible egg, but 2, count it, 2! Follicles forming!!!! I'm a dang jumpin bean over here!

SHE LAID AN EGG I HAVE AN EGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just checked on her and she had laid one it's long and kinda thin, but it's there!!

Anyoneknow when I can candle it?
