In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I decided that I am going to give one of these a try...specifically the one designed for Sterilite 32qt tubs. I need to move some of my balls into bigger tubs, and some of them are very much PIAs when it comes to temperature and feeding (or lack thereof)...so moving them into the other big rack is out of the question (no supplemental heat at this time). There is a Vision distributor nearby, and I just found out his warehouse is VERY close to my home. I figure the worst case scenario is that I absolutely hate it, and move it into the basement to brumate the colubrids in, lol. The best case is I don't hate it & use it for these girls til I get around to buying the ARS7030. After that, I'll either continue using it as a grow out rack or move it downstairs.

I hope to pick it up this weekend. I'll let you know

just got one

i just bought one of these not to long ago and i am very happy with. the rack is easy to assemble and is sturdy when all is said and done. the heat cable works great and more than enough comes with it. the tolerance between the top of the bin and the level divider is very close as well. the bins slide easy and it comes with heavy duty casters. i was very pleased and its great for the price. the only place i could find the bins however was target. i recommend this product and plan on buying more as my needs increase.

Greg,
What size did you get?
I had heard a lot of negative feedback about their V70/CB70 racks, so I almost opted out of the Visions. With this size, though, as I said, the worst that can happen is I use it to brumate colubrids.

Harald, what did you hear negative about the Vision racks?

I want to get a couple of 15qt racks for my geckos and have been extremely indecisive of what exactly I want to get. I like the open design of the Vision and the AP Economy. I'm looking for something in black with belly heat, and it can't be too tall (I'm pretty short). I need at least 20 bins minimum. I like the casters, but I don't need them right now as my reptile room is carpeted.

Do a search for them here - I know Clay hates his, and a couple of other people have commented on them. I have also seen things on other sites, as well. It seems like the people that like them, really like them...and that the people that don't, reallly don't. If the guy ever calls me back to set up the pick-up time, I'll post my preliminary impression.

I have the Vision CB70, and other than it being a little hard to push the tubs back and forth straight (they get a little crooked), the rack has been doing well for me. I did, however, have to purchase more heat cord to keep my heat even. I don't LOVE it, but I really don't hate it. It is a good product for the price.

I have two of the original Vision racks, the ones made from square aluminum tubing and nylon connectors. Mine were prototypes made for the Iris CB-80 box. At the time I had simply inquired if the rack could be modified for the CB-80 and the owner said he already had a prototype ready to go, IIRC. I got one and liked it so much I ordered another. I really like mine and still feel they are the only commercial cage or rack product I'd be willing to pay money for. At the time I needed a lightweight and modular rack for quarantine purposes and the Vision was the only rack that fit the bill. I like that I could tear the thing down and stick it in a garbage can full of disinfectant if I wanted.

At any rate, I know people who have both the rack I have (albeit not for the CB-80 box) and the newer rack and they swear the newer one is better in every way. I find this hard to believe but having never seen the rack in person I just don't know.

I know this perspective does not help much but I thought I'd mention it anway.

Actually, Chris, I know of a couple people that have the original Vision racks - the ones you described...I have never heard anything other than positive feedback about them. That's why I was rather surprised with the many reports of the new ones being sub par.

i bought the 32qt. model

you have to go to the website for assembly instructions, but other wise im happy with it. mabey with the longer cb 70 racks there are other problems, but the smaller one is great. on another note, i bought the double wide ball python rack for the sterilite tubs from animal plastics and couldnt be happier, although i wish the tolerances were a little tighter for the tub clearance.

Well - I had some difficulties with the local distributor, so I ordered one online. That one will be here Friday (11/15). A couple of hours later, the local guy contacted me...I decided to buy another because I want to put some order to my quarantine set up. I will be picking that one up later this morning (not exactly confident that I will get it set up today, though, lol...too much other stuff to do first). I'll post initial impressions some time next week.

Well, if those people you know are local I'd be interested to hear their take regarding new vs. old Vision racks, assuming they can see yours. Seems strange to say old when I have not even had mine for two years.

Not that I'm in a market for a rack, but I get so many people asking me what's good and the only thing I think is any good is no longer available.

Either way, I look forward to reading your first impressions.
