    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

He's so cute! :) He seems really mellow and didn't puff, hiss or try to strike while I was unbagging him. I'm really happy with him and Raul Campos of West Coast Jungle was very easy to work with. Prompt emails and he answered every question I had. He even called me this morning (which would have been really early for him) just after FedEx dropped off the package here and left a voicemail letting me know that the snake should have arrived and to make sure someone got to him. I called him right back to let him know I'd gotten up early and had met the FedEx guy at the door and that the snake had arrived safe and sound. :thumbsup:

I think I'll call him Erebus, but not decided just yet. He's settling in now. I may get more (better) pics of him in a few days.

You're probably right! :) I'm planning to pair him with my butter and mojave females when he gets a bit older.

Very pretty snake. I love the really dark snakes, him with a butter will probably be insane. Congrats on the new pickup!

When he arrived, he was just beginning to go into a shed cycle. He finally shed today and I tried to get some new pics of him outside. It's really hard to capture his color and my camera skills are a bit lacking. He's jet black and the flank and dorsal pattern is a rusty orange-tan. I really, really love this little guy.

After looking at the new pics, you could have told me he was a ghost and I would have believed you...fine looking addition (love the name too!)

Can't you just imagine mixing this guy into a ghost black pastel...(I actually caught myself after the first time)...black SATIN! lol

I'm not sure what happened in the first pics. I put black glass stones in a glass bowl and then plopped him down on top. In the bowl the sunlight seemed to wash his color out. lol I need to set up a proper light tent to try to capture his color better.
