• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Please stop these fake ads.

Apparently someone (and I believe I know who that someone is) is using the name of the company of which I am half owner and President to post fake ads on this site. MyCounterSpace.com is a social networking site that would never post an ad requesting any type of insecticide or live (or dead, for that matter) animals.

MyCounterSpace prides itself on being a GREEN company and I am sure that is why this person decided to use our name on this particular site; I suppose this is how someone like him entertains himself.

My only beef with Fauna Classifieds is that we have written them previously explaining that we have nothing to do with these ads on this site, that our name is registered and trademarked, that it is being used illegally, and that we would greatly appreciate their removing all ads that carry our name and to not accept any more of them, and yet they have done nothing about these ads.

Hey, Fauna Classifieds--If anyone is reading this, would you please get these false ads off your site now?

Now that I actually did register I see that the perpetrator of these fake ads has used my business partner's name to open an account. Dustin Pace is NOT the person placing these ads. Dustin and I know who it is and would appreciate it if Fauna Classifieds would take all of them down and refust to do business with the person who has illegally used Dustin's and the company's names to place these ads. NOW, please.

The person you need to get a hold of is Webslave. If you can get the real Dustin Pace to send him a message as well, I'm sure that he can rectify this.

On the other side, would this be prosecutable as identity theft? You might check with your local law enforcement. They may be interested in seeing these ads.
