    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm really wanting to get a bearded dragon, as a pet.

My wife however, is completely against the idea, she says we have too many snakes and rather getting more reptiles we should taking care of the one's we already have.

I didn't want to go into too much detail here, but have any of you had this kind of situation with your wife or girlfriend? How did you convince them?

Thanks.

Presumably your wife knows you better than we do. And for any kind of responsible advice, details are necessary. More critters aren't always better if you are not responsibly caring for the ones you have or if your time and finances are not enough to support more critters.

This is not the typical question where someone says that their SO does not want ANY reptiles and asks for advice. You already have snakes (how many?) Why do you think your wife is not wanting to take on another critter? She may have a good point but details are what you need to provide.

Did you do research into how much time and money beardies actually do take up? If your wife is already saying that you need to spend more time and money on the animals you have, then maybe you should go that route. She's probably not saying it for her health.

Convince? Most of us women normally don't need convincing if it's something that you both want. If not...Good luck, she probably won't change her mind.
