In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Warning!!! Corallus caninus from Karen Clark

I as well would like to know who this company is that issues a refund that quick on a lost Money order? I have never had a refund issued any quicker than 30 days after filing the lost Money order paperwork.

John,

My bank is the Penn State Federal Credit Union and the MO company is Integrated Payment Systems Inc., PO Box 6583, Englewood, CO 80155-6583. I was refunded in 24 hours.

Yours sincerely,

Nicolas Vidal

well that seems odd i really have never heard of a money order ever being refunded in a 24 hour period. i have tried to look up your banks info and the moneyorder companys info on the internet so that i can verify this myself and have not been able to find any info on either .i cant understand how exactly they could refund in 24 hours ??without investigations?? hmmm this all seem extreamly odd to me

M/Os

Sorry, John and Rob, but I just got off the phone with IPS. After first calling 800-208-3131 and being told to call 800-223-7520 for M/Os purchased thru a financial institution, I was told the following regarding a lost/stolen M/O.

The purchaser of the M/O must fill out the back of the portion they keep with pertinent information to stop payment, mail it to them, and then within 30 days their money will be refunded provided the M/O has not been cashed in the meantime. The only way to get a refund within 24-hours is to either return the entire M/O itself to the place of purchase or if the bank is kind enough to credit the money to your account pending the 30 day stop payment period.

So guys, find yourself a trusting credit union.

Karen

I just contacted the bank in question. There is a number to call to verify if the money order had not been cashed. If it has not been cashed a stop payment would have to be filed, then it would be 2-3 days minimum before the funds would be deposited back into the account. The banks information is listed below which was found on switchboard.com. I guess this bank is trusting enough to credit the money back waiting on the money order company.

So.. the only way to get a money order refunded that quickly is to actually have the money order in hand... hmmm

this guy is sounding like a scam artist more and more each day.

Money Order

FYI for anyone interested. Just out of curiosity, I decided to call Integrated Payment Services number to check on the Money Order referenced by Mr. Vidal.

Phone 800-223-7520, M/O #987354652, amount $825.00.

Per the automated information given out, this money order was stopped on 4/21, one day before he chose to make his post about me. He, therefore, had no reason to "jumped to the gun" as he put it in his initial apology to Craig.

Scott,
No, his credit union could have chosen to credit the money to his account pending the 30 day period required by IPS. They may have done this, as credit unions are different from banks. But, see my post above, where I found out WHEN the M/O was stopped.

Karen

so basically... he was trying to get something from nothing out of you after all this...

Nicolas,

So now the truth comes out. What exactly did you think you were going to get? You thought you would get both the animals and the money and get away with it without any problems?

you know thats kinda grimey!!! what i dont understand is if you werent trying to pull something why would you send that much money regular mail? why not spend the extra $12 it would have cost to send it express? why risk it getting lost in the mail in the first place? i think the heading on this post should be switched to beware of nick vidal jmho
john peraza

I don't think Mr. Vidal was trying to pull something, I just don't know or understand his reason for this spurious posting since he knew we had not cashed the M/O and that he was not going to be out any money BEFORE he posted. The reason I don't think he was trying to pull something is because when he informed me he was using a M/O purchased thru his credit union, he was told that since he was not abiding by the terms of the ad (Paypal, Western Union or USPS M/O's for payment only) that shipping would be held for two weeks after deposit unless it was something I could cash locally. He had no problem with this and, in fact, wanted to delay shipping because it is still cold where he lives. I do have the e-mails where this was discussed.

Anyway, he has apologized and admitted he was wrong, and while I really, really, really appreciate all the support, please just let this die. Thanks.

This is obviously a post that should be completely deleted or the title be completely changed. And if its not, then this is a great reason for some of the BOI haters to continue to hate it.

If it was my name in the thread, I would not want my name to be talked about negatively even if the person was proven wrong. Im sure there are some people that wont read the entire thread, so it could possibly hurt business. Even if its only one person that only wanted a hundred dollar snake, etc.... Thats money thats still lost due to a sorry butt thread.

Anyway, enough ranting....

hahaha sorry butt thread thats funny but i totallyagree with you the titel of the thread should be changed

well... all people have to do is READ THE THREAD... there are more posts about how good the Clark's are then bad here... and that could not hurt business.

Correct me if I'm wrong~ and I'm sure y'all will! But I don't think the fellow had malicious intent. I don't think he should have posted this thread~ but I don't think he was trying to steal the snake either~

Definate date unknown(He said the 13th right?) ~ He purchased and sent the money order

4-20 ~ Karen wrote to him and cancelled the sale pending due to non-payment

4-21 ~ He cancelled the money order and got his money back (He may or may not have had the money order in his hand~ but it has been established that he may not have had the money order in his hand when he did this)

4-22 ~ He posted here complaining that Karen cancelled the sale when she had not recieved the payment in 6 business days. He did not post that she had recieved the money, or cashed the money order, or that she should ship him the snake, or that he still wanted to go through with the sale~ only that she cancelled the sale and he was unhappy.

Now~ I think he was in the wrong posting the complaint. Almost everyone else thinks he was in the wrong posting the complaint~ but I don't think he was trying to get something for nothing~ I think he's a hothead and he was mad that the sale was cancelled.

~And he has appoligized.

Just my .02

Cheryl,

Yes, I'm going to correct you. Perhaps you should read the posts a little more thoroughly before posting your $0.02.

First, there is no proof other than his e-mail SAYING he sent it that it was sent. He supposedly sent it regular mail. BTW, believe it or not, it still has not shown up as of yesterday's mail after supposedly being sent on the 13th.

I did not cancel the sale. I removed the sale pending from the ad. Big difference. At no time did I cancel the sale, just put the animal back as available. Had the M/O shown up and had he not cancelled the sale and made the post, he still could have purchased the animal.

No, he did not post that he was unhappy because I cancelled the sale. He posted that he was unhappy because I removed the sale pending from the ad after not receiving payment within 6 days (8 days to me since it was supposedly mailed in the a.m. of 4/13 per his e-mail time and I waited until after mail came on 4/20 to write). AND, that I was supposedly impolite to him (I wasn't and he has not and cannot prove that since nothing of the sort exists). He accused me of deceit even though he was informed I was going to remove the sale pending before I did, now THAT's impolite in my book.

I have already posted that I don't believe he was trying to get something for nothing, and explained the reasons behind that belief. I also made note of the fact that he has apologized, even though he first apologized to Craig and then was prompted to apologize to me since it was my name in the post title.

As to the hothead part, I agree with you there. As to the malicious part, I have serious questions about his reason for posting.

Karen
