In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Warning I got Ripped off for Xmas by Mckyle

Well just a few more days before the BOI is probably shut down and this important resource for our community is no longer available. People should really start getting their priorities straight and pony up the measly $25 (which will only seem even more measly once you get scammed) or risk losing this very important resource. I’m sure there’s lots of scammers and shady folks in our community watching and waiting for this to happen so they can more easily prey on us all so ACT NOW OR DON'T WHINE LATER.

http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139742

Look at the number of people that have commented on this topic alone that cannot come up with $25.00.....that is sad, when the BOI disappears, we will all realize what we lost!

Unfortunately, some of us are on fixed incomes...and next month, I'm due to have that income decreased by $77 a week when my daughter's child support joke is cut off due to her turning 21...so my limited funds will be much less. I may not even have internet next month, so if the BOI goes "poof", I may not know it. If I have to choose between feeding myself and my daughter or having my internet connection or coins by my name on FaunaClassifieds, guess what I'll be choosing?? If I had it, guys, I'd give it.

Donna, I am not slamming people that cannot truly afford to pay for this public benefit. it is the "welfare type leaches" that want to benefit from everyone else's contributions and "hang out on the BOI" while i am at work. i am sure you are in a tough position trying to feed your underage children and taking care of them. my questions are for the people that take advantage of contributing members and are sucking the blood out of the BOI.
thanx,
mike

I will say that because of this one thread... I have went and changed my password to something a whole lot more secure and quite a bit longer.

you know I had posted an ad wanting to know if anyone would cut me a deal on a pair of mojaves and mckyle responded with an offer of a young pair for 350.00 shipped, I told him that I would send him the money the week after christmas and he was fine with that. But then, due to recently being scammed by someone else, I asked him to send me pics of the animals while I waited. I had already seen pics but now I wanted some with a newspaper with the current date and for the past 2 weeks I've heard nothing from him so I decided not to go thru with the deal..... Just sharing so the rest of you can beware.

So are there any updates regarding this guy? Did anyone actually go to the Police to try to nail this guy? He definitely needs to be taught a lesson.

I spoke with my aunt last night at our christmas dinner and she told me to tell everyone of you that scammed thatyou need to print out all emails and this entire thread and anything else you may have from mckyle and take it to your local police station. Once you have it at your local police station they will contact our police station to serve a warrant on him and he will be arrested.

So, as I see it, someone somewhere woke up and found a bunch of extra cash in their paypal accounts, and did nothing about it?

Yes!! I want everything done possible in order to get this scum bag in trouble. I live in Southern California and am planning on calling the police to make a report in case my CC takes back the refund so I have proof of what has happened! Please email me [email protected] and tell me everything you will need from me in order to start something and I will PM the others as well to contact you so they will be able to participate if they wish!! Thank you soo much for your concern and possibly helping us do something finally to someone that is a fraud!!

April Culver :)

I have been referred to another number to call a different police department. So Im getting the address and calling now

April Culver

Here is what I am doing typing a statement, notorizing it and printing all my hard proof emails and such and faxing them to Spartanburg Sheriffs station tomorrow, I will be a busy bee tonight getting things situated to fax off tomorrow for the Sheriffs to investigate!!! Any more information to tell I will use so let it all out!!

April Culve ♥

How do I print PM's so they fit on one page? Is there a way to print them? Or do I need to print each one individually for the date and such..maybe I should do it taht way, what do you think? Called the Sheriffs and he told me exactly what to do, I hope the others will do as well so we can really get this guy!!

April Culver :)

Done...taking it to my friend tomorrow to be notorized and faxing it off tomorrow right after that!! Nichole and Tristan please contact the sheriff's department as well, here is the number 1-864-503-4500, Spartanburg Sheriff's Department.

I believe everything you said is right. After my post last night about sending off my faxes today he PM'd me saying he was NOT Kyle Mcdaniel and he would feel bad to, "have some poor kids blood on his hands." Whatever he is just scared now cause Im not just talking im acting and now he is backing out and supposidly abandoning this Fauna account he also gave me a new email address to use. I just simply replied, "the cops will straighten it out." Im almost positive it is Kyle and he is 17.

April

Holy cow, this should be really helpfull, although a lot of printing I think I may need to get more ink in my printer since its running low. Thank you soo much, now all I need is info on how to contact the FBI internet fraud division?? Any one know?

April

April states she's faxed over everything to the police departments and spoken with the police and was even inquiring about contacting the FBI internet fraud unit. But since that last post we haven't heard anything and given this post:

you know I had posted an ad wanting to know if anyone would cut me a deal on a pair of mojaves and mckyle responded with an offer of a young pair for 350.00 shipped, I told him that I would send him the money the week after christmas and he was fine with that. I am thinking Kyle is still trying to scam people. I guess the police probably haven't contacted him????????

April,
Can we have an update please???

Unfortunately I doubt anyone will have the initiative to do anything. Look at the hundreds of people that got scammed for thousands of dollars from TSE - only a dozen people turned in affidavits - this community has proven it can talk the talk from behind a keyboard but when it comes to walking the walk - it never seems to really be worth it. :shrug01:

Hopefully the few that do step up get their retribution.

Good luck!

Don't know how much this will help, but I've bred parrots for about 13 years. Twice I fell victim to being scammed regardless of my cautious nature. The first time the "scammer" was in camaroon africa so I couldn't do much about it. The second time she was in Arizona, and BELIEVE ME the "show up on his/her door step" works. I had the pheonix pd show up with me ( had to be legal ). She handed me my bird back ( a 7 year old blue and gold macaw ), and when asked if I wanted to press charges I said yes. She was taken away in cuffs, and didn't have the money to make bail. She ended up serving 5 1/2 months of a one year sentence. AND I got my bird back. Hopefully this information might help.

That's good to hear but from my own personal experience how successful your experience with the police has a lot to do with the individual police officer you end up speaking with. There are some that will actually take the time to try to help you out as much as possible. Others will simply dismiss you with the "it's a civil matter" excuse. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that the scam deals with reptiles which socially carry a negative stigma simply because they're not fluffy and cuddly but either way it's always worth a shot to try.

So, as I see it, someone somewhere woke up and found a bunch of extra cash in their paypal accounts, and did nothing about it?

Dave

FWIW, I've had my PayPal account hacked before. Whether money is taken out or put in, if it is a suspicious transaction they will pretty much immediately lock the account. In my case they thought that me sending a "gift" of $500 seemed like something I would not do. When they lock it you can receive money but cannot send anything, even as a refund if you received money that wasn't yours, until it is resolved. It can only be resolved by contacting paypal from a landline phone, or if you're like me and you only have a cell you have to do it through snail mail, so it can take a while. If in the process paypal determines the transaction was not authorized they will reverse it. You don't really do much about anything. So whoever woke up with the extra cash either a) hasn't used their paypal account in a long time and has no idea that anything is going on, or b) is going through the process of letting PayPal figure it out. If it's an account that was openly listed on some forums, the former is probably likely, or the account is still open and some other loser changed the password and took the funds. Or the even more likely c) he is lying, and he actually did have access to all of the funds, as evidenced by a recent comment in the other forums stating he had over $2000 in his paypal account.

Harald this is when he made 1 of 2 payments.

Transaction Date: 13 Dec 2009

One of two payments...I'll get back to that. (I'm not pointing any fingers at you, just sorting out some details)
That was Sunday...so if it was an empty account when he accessed it, he either used funds from the sales to the 3 people in this thread OR changed the default payment and charged this to the the accountholder's bank account or credit card. Since Kyle stated the money is all there, it would seem likely that he did the latter. Interesting....

Now, you said one of two payments. Does that mean he still owes you money, that he made the other payment from a different account (or with a different method), or something else?

Paid in full, paypal same acct. same day.

Funny, I paid him my $650.00 on the 9th and it was directly taken out of my CC cause Im a avid paypal user and my bank is hooked up to it as well.

April Culver :)

Seems to me that there is no identity theft here ... just a lying, scamming, thieving kid.

Ed shipped to Kyle McDaniel at 205 Southfield St in Inman, SC Property records indicate the person who pays taxes at that address is Jeff McDaniel, who someone has already said is his father.

He's posted on at least 3 herp forums AND the Cheat Network about the reptiles he's purchased using the same user name. There was a post I linked at that Cheat Network about the IPOD he sold, never shipped and told the buyer to just dispute, blah blah. He also posted on that thread how he does not talk on the phone, communicates via texting or mail only. Same MO.

Here's a post where he wants to find an online phone where he doesn't have to talk, just listen. Now, who does that sound like?

Based on what was posted and the time line Kyle scammed people out of money then used that money to purchase reptiles. The other theories do not pan out with what's been proven by the folks he's scammed and the person(s) he bought from. I believe he purchased from someone else other then Ed but I couldn't find the post to quote it so, yeah, don't quote me on that. lol But C is what appears to be what's he's done.

Stopped reading about page 7, but felt I had to mention this. You guys realize this is NOT Kyle McDaniel, right? I would guess that whatever website he got the paypal password from either keylogged him or hacked him, and now they're having quite a bit of fun telling you all what he did and getting him in trouble. That, or Kyle McDaniel is just a pseudonym he took from a kid he dislikes. Either way, if you report this to the police, you're just getting scammed *AGAIN*.
