In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Watch out I got screwed BY Corsi Morphs

My apologies for using examples of what I would do if I did an auction, it was off topic to say what I would do.

Back on the topic, Id love if Corsi would chime in here and give his side

If you don't know about deserts you ought not to be thinking about breeding them....

I don't agree with this. Most of us know of the issues with the desert gene.
When she talked to him about breeding it, he should have brought up the reproductive issue.
There are too many people still ignoring the problem.
Sure, a buyer should know about the animal they are buying but the seller also has a responsibility to disclose a serious flaw with an animal to potential buyers IMO. The auction should have stated there are problems with breeding these animals and that would have prevented people with thoughts of breeding it from bidding.
When is the BP community going to stop keeping "secrets"? A very large breeder who was instrumental in bringing the morph to the market (Kahl) dumped all of his desert females overseas. That didn't come out until the problem became more widespread. Obviously he (and probably others) new of the issue (the deserts have been around for several years now) but kept it quiet.
Angelo knows of the issues with deserts or he wouldn't have let it go for that price. He had a responsibility to inform potential customers of the issue.

Guys and Gals, anyone who does not see a problem with selling Desert females without full disclosure is WRONG. You can spin it any way you want to, but Desert females need a disclosure statement. If you are selling a Kinked Caramel, you need to disclose that, if you are selling a train wreck of a Wobbling Spider, you need to disclose that. If you do not, you are a flat out a lousy seller. If you won an auction for a car and it had a blown engine, and you were not informed, that is bad business ethics...same holds true for selling Desert females.

Dave

Dave, I know you are a stand-up guy , someone I would trust 100% just from the past dealings you have done with a few friends of mine.

I do agree that full disclosure on certain mutations is extremely important to uphold ones reputation as a seller. I do however feel that face book auctions and posted adds at full-market value would be handled differently. Those that hold Auctions are usually attempting to move animals that would normally be hard to sell. I do not know Angelo, nor have I ever done business with him. I still feel that he has done no-wrong (in his face book auction posting) He opened the bid at $300 (a very fair price for a YB Desert Female). However, If the buyer did in fact ask about breeding the animal in the future, He should have disclosed the issues with Desert females at that time.

I love how this disclosure is such a big issue but it was never brought up to the seller until a BOI thread was posted demanding a refund. How is his lack of disclosure any more signifigant than her lack of disclosure for why she wanted a refund? She did not disclose that she did not want the snake because of the fertility issues. Same thing right? If its :censored: me, then it's :censored: you, right?

Some keep bringing up the fact of reproductive issues with the desert gene,if it was so sever why are their many hatchings available every summer.it seems to cross well with others because their are desert cross hatchlings available also.

Their are many issues with BP morphs should every snake carry a warning?

Really.... Called MALES BREED females dont, Thats where ALL desert morphs came from is the male desert is doing the work.

Most breeding are from desert male x other morph females, desert females are non breeders as it seems. and yes all defects should be told upon dealing with a potential buyer. if you bought a car and later found out a non visible part was defective would you be mad at the seller? hell yes.

Am I the only one that's reading the statement in bold as basically stating that the the dollar amount of an animal should dictate the seller's degree of integrity? Be forthcoming about the flawless big-ticket snakes, but leave out key information when dealing with something that's less desireable, hence, less valuable? Very interesting.

Again, I think you're ignoring some details. Apparently there was zero contact from the seller between her email on the 6th, and until after she actually posted this thread. Gotta "love" how a BOI thread sometimes tends to get a quicker response.

Anyway, I think her reason for wanting the refund becomes somewhat moot when viewed in light of the apparent (or at least undisputed) fact that he ignored all of her communcations. Does the fact that the seller wasn't even aware of the "buyer's remorse" aspect, somehow make him look better for having ignored her? I think you're focusing on a single tree, at the expense of the entire forest. After having been ignored for a week, I'd have to think that some of us would agree with wanting a refund, on general principle alone.

And there's also this little caveat that some of use seem to feel is a fairly important one: Had he chosen to make mention of their fertility issues in his ad, seeing as she was obviously looking for a breeder, there seems to be a very high likelihood that she never would have made the purchase to begin with.

Really? I know you are not that clueless. You know as well as I do that only the males breed. Whether it is a single gene desert or combo. Only the males reproduce.

Their are many issues with BP morphs should every snake carry a warning?
Yes. A spider with a wobble should be listed as such. A caramel from a clutch with kinked babies should be listed like that. An albino boa whose siblings all had only one eye should be disclosed.

If you buy a snake off of Craigslist or someplace similar, from a guy or gal who has no clue what they have, and keep the snake in a 55 gallon fish tank with a home made lid, buyer beware. If you are a legit business or hobbyist, auction or not, you are going to disclose the flaws and faults of a snake, because you are going to want that person to buy from you again. You also have a reputation to uphold...I would think? If you do not, you probably do not care about your reputation and do not care about repeat business. That would make it very easy for me to determine who to buy from and who to stay clear of.

Listen...yes I think there should a disclosure on all genetic problems for all of those who are new to this wonderful world of herps. I also agree that we should do are homework instead of jumping up and down at the window of the candy store because we love what it looks like!! Running in and buying it popping it in our mouth to find out its sour! Then yelling at the clerk. Yes that is my fault! I AM SORRY!! But I tried for 3 days and even before finding out the breeding issues wanting to cancel the shipment and get my money back. Corsi Morphs is not a bad guy for lack of info I just mad for the lack of communication!!

Hello All!! Just wanted to let this whole thing cool down before I answer a few questions the were brought up and then post my responce to this thread as a whole so bare with me as I go back to the beginning and start my responces..

On secold thought there is way to much crap to weed through.. I want to start by saying Jodie I work in finance for a small toy company and all 8 of us work in a communal space including the founder and persident of the company which I have the pleasure of sitting directly across from.. It is a great company, I get to wear shorts and flipflops to work if I like I can bring my dog to work and we play with toys all friggin day!! The one and only thing that is frowned apon in my office is personal cell phone use!! I am sorry I couldnt return your many phone calls TODAY!!! or your numerous face book postings or your numerous text messages that all started at 8:14 EST but in in work by 6:30-7:00.. But, at 4:58 as soon as I walked out of work I replied to your request for a refund because "the heat is not expected to let up for weeks" with I will do it as soon as I get a chance.
Before to day the only other time jodie has contacted or try to contact me was when we spoke on the phone for an hour!
In that conversation was the first question was "so tell me your thoughts on the desert females not producing" I replyed "no one has produced eggs to date from a desert female and there is generally 2 camps of thinking the believers and the non believers" "Im still on the fence and as you can see buy my auctions Im getting out of the desert project except for 2 2000g plus female I will raise for another 2-3 years.."

Next she told me how it was 102-105 degrees and she didnt know when it was going to break so I informed her to keep me posted on the temps and what day works for her.. That was the last time I heard from Jodie till 8:14 am this morning.. O yeah she also text me to ask if she could swap up to the pheonix female I had on auction and pay the difference..

So after responding to Jodies text at 4:58 all hell breaks loose with my phone between texts, calls, messages about this thread and brutal bashing all over the face book groups about 6 to be exact.. I even got a call from Jason a admin on the reptile auction group on face book who is a great guy and took on the task today of cleaning up all of Jodies slander all over facebook..

Then to add insult to the mess I get a call from a guy (wont mention his name till I ask if it ok dont want to be an ass***e) who has a deal set up with jodie to purchase the desert yellow belly female from her and want to know if i will sell it to him directly!! I dont know the guy never talked to him but he called my cell phone dirrectly!! So now I have a INFO thread titled "Watch out I got screwed BY Corsi Morphs " but good thing its just an info thread and not a BAD GUY post!! Thanks Jodie!!

You are full of IT! I never asked you anything of the sort!!! Because I had no Freakin clue that even happened with them. The matter of not contacting you is BS also I have records to prove I did! My cell phone my house phone and Facebook emails. I cant believe that you a totally lying!!!
