This is an exaggeration of the weather conditions at your home in Beaumont, CA (what your user name is registered with). At the time you bid on the snake your daily high was 93F, nightly low was 63F. The following week the temperatures did exceed 100F, but the weather broke yesterday and brought your temps back down into the 90s.

Here are the actual temperature readings of your area, for the past month, courtesy of weather.com.

This is a summary of my interpretation of the events:

1. Bid on the desert YB female, won the bid at about $320.
2. Contacted the seller after winning the bid, actually discussed the breeding issues associated with desert females during that call.
3. You made arrangements to sell the snake to a third party individual.
4. You decide you want a refund, initially using high temperatures as an excuse, then due to the problems associated with breeding desert females.
5. You give the third party individual Acorsi's contact information, who then gives him a blind phone call.
6. Due to delays in Acorsi's response, you post the "info thread" here on the BOI.

Now Acorsi says he refunded you the money. Acorsi, can you please post a screenshot of the transaction here if done electronically?

So far the excuses for the refund are:
1. Poor shipping conditions.
2. My daughter doesn't want to wait on the snake, she wants it now!
3. Breeding problems with female deserts.

Only the third excuse is legitimate. The first two reek of buyer's remorse. Considering you stated the first two excuses before you even touched upon the third excuse tells me that you didn't put much thought into this purchase at all. If you were one of my customers I'd be pretty unhappy with the drama you've brought unnecessarily to the whole transaction.

The whole non-disclosure thing is a legitimate concern, and the only one which warrants a refund from Acorsi. The rest is just a soap opera.

all these snakes are hers, she is the one the started all of this breeding snakes and collecting snakes last July at the age of 7 with her 1st ball python for her birthday then she got a book on how to care for them and it just exploded from there. But they are her snakes, we might pay for them but she is the little master mind behind what she wants to do with them. She has named them all she takes care of them all feeds them live rats the whole nine yards. We have family meetings on what we are doing next.

Well...guess we know now why mommy doesn't know squat about the desert gene. (but yes, I DO agree that information should always be disclosed)

Way to put this situation on everyone but yourself, including your 7 year old daughter...cuz being the master mind and all, she really should have informed you better

Also, I do agree that proper ethics and just good business practice is to (even if its so well known throughout the hobby community) to go ahead and re-iterate any gentic trait shortcomings (if you will), just to ensure that all potential buyers are aware, even though its also their responsibility to research. Im not really arguing that point. But everything else is just senseless and unwarranted.

I believe this was posted Wednesday day which proves she hasn't been trying to reach him for three days with out success. It also makes her statement about wanting a refund before she found put about the genetic issue a lie. I also believe since hubby brought home all of those new ones she had buyers remorse or needed the cash back or something. Regardless she is a poor liar and totally busted herself.

You state your going to slander him all over the internet.
You needed the refund because of the heat.
You needed the money because your 7 yo couldn't wait.
You had buyers remorse because you were unaware of Deserts.
You wanted a refund when your resale didn't happen.
You were going to sell because you husband came home with new additions.
Needed a refund when your buyer backed out.
State seller is not a bad guy but blast him all over the internet all over FB and a BOI stating "you got screwed"

Great point, I still think you missed a few:

First, her Daughter is 7 (in the messages she posted she is now 8)?
First, she is new to BP's, Now SHE has 60 snakes?
First, The snakes were all her daughter's, now they are the family's?
I believe she said that she was informed about the infertility issues by her third party buyer, I did not see any mention of the sort in the string of messages.

Jodie- Good Luck with your animals. I think it is great to get your kids involved with this hobby. I have a 7yr old and a 13 year old that each have their own animals that have been producing clutches for 4+ years.

But.. Please do not contact me on any of my current or future posted animals, I will not do business with you! You have set a horrible example of yourself here. This is a tight community and we are not quick to forget!!

YOU started the breeding...and YOU need to be the informed one in the situation when buying around 4-5 snakes a MONTH for the last year.

Tho I do agree you should get a refund since the issues of the desert gene were unknown to you, you REALLY need to look at yourself a little closer and decide if your 8 year old daughter is responsible enough for you to be making all of these claims for her.

Just because one party has made (many) errors does not automatically clear the other party. Corsimorphs has a few less than flattering BOI mentions.

I think Corsi morphs will make a huge step forward to provide proof of the refund. The op, I feel, has pretty much set forth her future in this HOBBY.

I think its very clear this is just smoke and mirrors to try to make yourself look taken advantage of. What's truly sad is if you would have stood on the truth of the undisclosed genetic issue you could've came out smelling like a rose.

You changed your mind after you bought her because... you didn't want to put her through the heat? Because in your conversation with Randall (who apparently lives somewhere close to Corsi Morphs) you discuss trades and look into things he's selling. It makes it sound like you don't mind shipping from there.

makes it sound like you only changed your mind after your husband bought some more snakes home. (I won't even ask how you're quarantining all these new breeders you keep getting...) I don't see how heat can be the issue, I think you would have waited if you honestly wanted the animal. What's a couple weeks for a new family member that can live for decades?

Anyways, I agree that both parties have proof to provide. I'm cutting Angelo a wee bit of slack on the refund screenshot, since proof wasn't requested until today and he just stated last night that he couldn't respond while he was at work. However Jodie just repeated an hour ago that she was ignored, something he denied yesterday.

Before to day the only other time jodie has contacted or try to contact me was when we spoke on the phone for an hour!

The matter of not contacting you is BS also I have records to prove I did! My cell phone my house phone and Facebook emails. I cant believe that you a totally lying!!!

I'm aware of 4 breeders/big time flippers that sold desert femaless for the last year and a half KNOWING they did not reproduce... their is lots of scum in this hobby! I wouldn't deal with the op no matter what after all the lies she has sprouted in this thread not to mention the lack of QT I'm sure she does not know she needs to do... all bids on the FB auction are final! And that's is the TOS under which she purchased the animal... I would refund and apologize, BUT what about sticking to TOS? Op has broken her word by not following through. (But then again she has stated she will lie to get her way) dnbforst list!

Fine, I apologize for not thanking you for your apology, and, thank you for apologizing for disrespecting those of us that were standing up for you and on your side at the beginning.

At the same time, I am still slightly more on your side considering all that I "docked" you for was supposedly not telling her about the Desert issues and for the attitude you displayed (that you did apologize for).

Did I say "Don't do business with Angelo, he's a jerk!" No, I didn't.

But I did say "Don't do business with Jordie Joel!" She seems to have severe issues taking responsibility for her own actions. Definitely not someone I would do business with in the future.

That being said, Angelo, I don't hold much of anything against you and I will chalk up our disagreement to a miscommunication.
