In my opinion, no one in their right mind will do biz with you since slander by definition is a false (spoken) statement against someone. You've just admitted you would lie.
Frankly I feel like this was a very unfair statement. It was clear from the buyer's posts that she doesn't have a pristine grasp of the English language, and I very much doubt that her intention was to make false (spoken) statements against the seller. She was simply stating that she would post her story all over the Internet, and she knew it would make the seller look bad.
Yes, the buyer should have done her research. Yes, she shouldn't have fallen all over herself making excuses for folks on the BOI. She should have just stuck to the fact that the seller never disclosed the fertility issues to her. That alone was a solid case for a refund in my opinion.
When I started reading this thread, I was annoyed and disgusted at the buyer for throwing a tantrum over something that comes up in any google search.
But now that I've read the entire thing, I feel for her. I don't know if I would ever sell to her, but I'd be more likely to sell to her than I would be to buy from the seller.
I think she was overwhelmed by the BOI. She wasn't prepared to be cross examined, she panicked, and made some poor choices with regards to her story. She also isn't one of those people that has a gift with words, and may have accidentally contradicted herself. That doesn't make her a bad person.
I think she has learned a lot from this experience. When I read the following post, I was impressed:
Listen...yes I think there should a disclosure on all genetic problems for all of those who are new to this wonderful world of herps. I also agree that we should do are homework instead of jumping up and down at the window of the candy store because we love what it looks like!! Running in and buying it popping it in our mouth to find out its sour! Then yelling at the clerk. Yes that is my fault! I AM SORRY!! But I tried for 3 days and even before finding out the breeding issues wanting to cancel the shipment and get my money back. Corsi Morphs is not a bad guy for lack of info I just mad for the lack of communication!!
It was in fact the above quote that made me consider the situation from a different perspective.
The seller did not communicate with her like he should have. He didn't tell her about the desert issue, and he didn't stay in touch with her regarding the shipping delays.
The buyer did not do her research. She was not straight with her story when telling folks on the BOI. She overreacted and didn't handle herself well.
In general my sense of her is that she is a better person than people are assuming, and she doesn't deserve all of the nit-picking attacks she's getting.
I'm not holding this against her unless the seller can prove that the refund was sent and should have been received.
