    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

never had a bad experience with LLL reptile and hope it stays that way, Maybe we should look into locking threads this old cause this thread was dead for 7 years!
 
Recently got a new member over at my other hang out, and he shared a video of his "Super Salmon DH Kahl Sunglow" as advertised by LLLReptiles, that he purchased from them.

Not even close. Normal as can be. Not the first I've heard on the internet of misrepresented animals from them either, which is why I never dealt with them firsthand, regardless of how "cheap" things might be.

Seems like it could swing both ways from this thread, and what I've seen or read elsewhere. I guess if you're into gambling. LOL
 
I live in San Diego and get tons of supplies and feeders from LLL every other day with no problems. They keep a very clean store and take very good care of their animals, and far better than any other reptiles stores I've been to around the country as I travel a lot. I purchased a GTP from them 3 years and she has always done great. Would I recommend buying an animal online from them? I think if you want breeder quality animals you should buy from a breeder. It's like buying a dog, I wouldn't go buy an english bulldog from the local pet store. I'd buy from a reputable breeder. LLL doesn't breed/produce their animals, they buy them from breeders. And for the most part their animals are quality, healthy, and very well started. Although, I think their animals would appeal to local buyers who can come in and buy their animals. I would recommend LLL to anyone, and I'm picky when it comes to recommendations. This thread started years ago with one little helix pad that obviously was their fault and fixed. Since then a couple complaints with animals with no proof and substance really isn't fair to LLL reptile. People's complains of customer service at shows really doesn't make much sense to me either, considering I know all their employees and they really are great people.
 
I've ordered stuff from them online, everything has gone well. Definately good prices and I will most likely order more stuff from them.

I went to their store this summer in Oceanside, this is the customer service I got.

Me: Excuse me, do you know the price of the zoomed 18" 5.0 bulb?

Girl at register: Sorry, no I don't.

LoL, that was it, thats the answer I got. She didn't bother to look for the price, she didn't ask anyone for the price. She just didnt care, lol. I was going to buy it if it wasnt too expensive, I would have probably bought two, but she didnt care. So, I didnt care much for purchasing it either with the help she was. I just stopped shopping, paid for whatever I already had in my hands and left.
 
I've dealt with LLL on numerous occasions. I can only speak from my experiences with them over the last 7 or 8 years and all transactions as a buyer and seller have been top-notch. Will I stop buying supplies based on this thread? Not a chance.
 
i ordered a leo gecko and a sav monitor from them quite a few years ago. the animals were both great. i was very unhappy with the way they were packed though. they were both in a paper bag together and the top was folded over once and stapled in the center. how neither escaped is beyond me. paper bag was placed in box with a few crumpled newspapers around it. was it the worst packaging ive seen...no, but it was the worst " I " HAD EVER RECEIVED. would it stop me from ordering from them again....it has so far. if it was the right animal for the right price i may be willing to buy from them again. if their were no other choices

btw...their customer service at shows absolutely sucks. i couldnt even get someone to help me at their table in daytona of 07.
 
I've never purchased an animal from them though. I've never spoke to LLL on the phone or even tried to either. Just through email. I've sold them animals before, I shipped first and received couple grand check within a couple days, so I have always been pleased with them being the buyer, me the seller, and so far all my purchasing transactions, mainly packaging supplies, have been very speedy. Nobody is perfect I guess, but they have been for me.:yesnod:

I could say I had some issues at a San Jose show, but the reality is the only reason I had issues was that they were so incredibly busy. They had a four sided display (large box) and people were two to three deep all around. They had 4-5 people working it. I can't blame them for my having to wait.
 
I'm going to have to rescind my comment above. Turns out the videos color was off, and after seeing some pictures of the animal I mentioned, turns out it could very well be a Salmon, just not a great example of one.

Also when Scott was made aware that there might be a problem, he came straight away and tried to fix it. That speaks volumes to me.

I'm gonna go feel like a fool for a while now.
