In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Soooo much to figure out! Which worm is most nutritious and best to feed leos?

W/loaded crix, of course...

Wanda

That is good info, thanks. But what about butterworms, supposed to be so good for its double content of calcium? Are they a better choice than crix, then?

Wanda

The butterworms are actually better than waxworms, they look like waxies but with color. ;)

I feed crickets, super worms, mealworms, silk worms, and butter worms to all my geckos and give them waxies as a treat. I just give them a bit of variety. :)

Silkworms were a good waste of $30
:no01: Now he tells me...:hehe:

Two of my leos love mealworms. My snow only eats crickets and my picta does not even bother sniffing them. I hope they eat the freakin' silkworms when they arrive...

What about butterworms (yeah, bought those too :crap: ) Do you guys feed them to your lizards at all?

Wanda

all my geckos seemed to like them even my crested, He however wouldn't eat a silkworm either
and my leo ate one i think by mistake.

They're $1 each up here in Canada at a petstore... Really too expensive for me. I've noticed as well that very few webpages offer them.

I have a leo with an identity crisis: I am sure she believes she was born a pig. She is a very good feeder, hopefully she'll eat the silkworms I just bought, because if the others are anything like you guys', forget it...

Wanda-

I buy all my feeders at wormman.
I get the butterworms and silk worms at herpfood. Both of those places have good prices.

My leos will eat anything that you feed them, they have eaten all the worms I have bought for them. I guess it just depends on the leo itself, but all my geckos eat anything.

Silkworms

I have purchased these a few times for a treat and everytime my Leos down them! Some do not like them at all, but I have enough Leos that do so none go to waste. I primarily feed roaches now and so far so good.
