• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

    On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

    Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Weird behaviour from African Egg eating snake

I have had my African egg eating snake for about a year. At the begging she would shed every couple weeks and eat whenever I gave her eggs. Lately since I switched her to a 40 gallon she hasn’t been moving much and will only eat an egg if I put it practically on top of her. As well as she has not shed in a few months. I thought for a while that she is maybe just getting older ( from what I know she is around 3 years old ) but now I’m getting worried!

My first thought is to ask about temperatures, and making sure she is warm enough t digest efficiently.

Second thing would be security, and whether she has enough hiding places to feel safe enough to relax and behave normally.
 
I don’t think it’s about security I have 4 hides and thick aspen but she stays under her water dish most of the time. I have a heat pad but it on the other end of the tank that she never goes on. Should I move the heat pad to the “cool” side?
