In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

When I was a kid i heard of the fairy story of the little old lady who sold her geeses' feathers to afford a winter coat...before she did that she thought she could make a ratty old red blanket work for her, but when she tried to cut out the holes she only made them bigger. Once she sold the feathers she was worried that the geese were going to be cold, so she took her holey blanket and made geese jackets out of it. I thought she was pretty dumb to think she could cut a hole out of something, and pretty clever to make jackets for her freezing geese. Kudos to her for keeping her geese alive by dressing them in jackets.

I've been known to virtually dress animals on my computer. Here's our Christmas turtle... it was HARD to get those little mittens on him. Stringing the lights around his shell was pretty easy though.

Though I do not dress up mock geese.

Oh, yeah, come on, rub it in, Matt. This here Fauna community is a
**Big** collection of weirdos (oops I meant individualists, lol) and so now poor sweet Lucille gets to take her place at the top of the heap JUST because she happens to dress up geese in cute little outfits.......

I would like to call myself weird, just not the *dressing up fake animals/fowl weird*. I learned the hard way ~never~ to dress up real animals (specifically cats) unless you want to experience their claws and/or teeth LOL. I do have a nice collection of stuffed toys, mostly dragons and i am a 28 yr old woman who is quite content to sit on my bed colouring with crayons LOL.

Ya i'm ~weird~ lol

Red :)

Okay I must confess, I once dressed our wennie dog as satan.
I have multiple piercings, (some in odd places) It is my way of expression.
I have never bit the head off of anything, or will I.
I do not dress, geese, for any season or reason.
I am tatooed x2 and I am a bit off the wall.
But all in all I have never strived to be "normal"
The only thing I find odd are folks that want to be like everyone else.
Be your own person, but do not hurt others while you do it.

Now that more new people may be reading these threads I would like to assure everyone tha I am COMPLETELY NORMAL even though I dress up decorative geese in little outfits............

Uh..see that doggie in my profile?

I bought him a little outfit complete with devil horns for Halloween. Heh.

I'm still very normal as well, Lucille. ;)

Okay, I dress my miniature pincher up like Santa every year, I have multiple piercings, tattoo's, some of my friend are biker's (will be buying my own soon), can be known to talk to myself, have gone to Walmart in the middle of the night, I will pick up a spider and free it rather than let someone kill it, would love to have a bat as a pet, and sorry Lucille, but I would toilet paper your goose if I saw it!! LMAO

Oh My, Laura, you sound awesome. Can't say i dress up my dog LOL......he has teeth and likes to use them but i did used to dress up the cat (and she tolerated it). I was the one at university who was always called to catch bees and wasps inside, then of course set them free :) (i'm not a huge fan of spiders but i typically shower with at least one, so.......hehe, gotta seal up those windows better LOL). I would also sit outside during storms to pick up all the frogs, toads and salamanders that came out on the road (before they got squished).......then i'd bring in a few and you'd be amazed how university students would go running screaming, guys and gals alike hehehe. Me, Myself and I have conversations all the time.......and i can't wait to get my license to drive a big rig :) Call me crazy but i think i'm pretty normal LMAO.

Hmmmmmmmm pranks.......that can fall into the catagory of weird. Lets see, i am ~not~ admitting to any of the following......*evil grin* just some cool things i've ~heard about~........hehehe

- putting dye into the soap dispensers.
- telling ones parents your engaged (helps if your boyfriend is in on it LOL)
- saran wrap over the toilet (old but it still works)
- wrapping Christmas gifts in an entire roll of packing tape LOL (Ok this one i will admit to........my brothers and i have a yearly competition on who will whip out the scissors first hehehe)

The kidnap kapper's of the fake fowl!!

I suppose I could kid nap said goose, ride around from place to place taking pictures of the fake fowl on my tp'd bike, and you could put out an add in the fauna missing persons forum. ROTFLMAO

I do not think I will one up you by calling the men in the white coats. If they saw you on your TPed bike carrying a dressed up goose, and then read THIS thread from ME, we'd BOTH probably be put away for a while in a place that there would be no access to Fauna......

Their coming to take me away ha ha
their coming to take me away ho ho he he ha ha
to the funny farm
where life is beautiful all the time
and I'll be happy to see
those nice young men
in their clean white coats
and their coming to take me away ha ha.................

to the happy home
with tree's and flower's and chirping birds
and basket weaver's
who sit and twiddle their thumbs and toe's
and their coming to take me away ha ha...................

They're coming to take me away, ha ha.....
Well I've already fessed up to dressing the geese, here is Winston, the new bulldog, in a little Christmas hat (he enjoyed the fuss and attention) :)
