We have this Spectacular baby Black Sumatran water monitor #2 available. Unfortunately still too young to sex with any reliability .
He is feeding regularly on mouse or rat pinks and as you can see is just perfect . This baby if you look really close still has some of the light baby banding marks which are turning blacker daily and will disappear all together as it ages .
This Sumatran bloodline of waters is a bloodline which gets very large, unlike some other advertised lines which max out before they reach six feet, this bloodline can get from my personal experience with a older male 7 ft 7 inches or larger ; however, we have successfully bred female s at 4 feet . These babies will need special care and attention... As you can see from the photos I can handle them without gloves ... But i am very patient with them and very experienced with monitor lizards .. The price reflects that they are not well socialized babies which are handled daily those are available elsewhere for for more money which they should be.
In general.. these are scared little babies and You are a giant that only wants to eat them , in their mind... if you just go grab them up without normal interactions you will get bitten ...
The older they get and the more handling you do the better less they are afraid your going to eat them .
This animals is a farm bred baby f 1... we will have uscb babies available in a few months as well if they hatch .
