    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Wendy Childs, Reptile Addictions

Wow all this who is Robert. Well I'm 38. I live in northward California. Humboldt county to be exact. I can't get much around here so I order off line. As for my guilt all I did was help out someone who went out of there way for me and when she missed the shipment by a day gave me 2 free frogs. Thanks again. Not to mention the good advice sooooooo. I must say you'll don't have much in your lives to be on line so much sorry it took so long for me to respond I work.... I know spokcompton,spokanistane,spokaneee. Ya I said it. My girlfriend is from there. Anyone want to find me I'll be in tonasket for barter fair. Otherwise good luck in 2012 everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhh at best pole shift aside/Mayan theory/hope Indian proPhecy and the bible. At best the government believes our electrical grid will fail from the coming Mass ejections from the sun. The biggest ever in human history. Otherwise hey the made a movie. I store food and have lots of water as well as a earth covered hideaway just in case.

If you are the guy who bought the "blue jeans"...I'm sorry man but chances are they are not blue jeans. I can understand wanting to believe you got blue jeans at a bargain price but it just isn't likely and especially given the pics its highly improbable that those are bj's especially since neither look like them...not just one but both of them don't. If you are new to the hobby and don't have much experience its easy to misidentify them but trust the people in the know who tell you they aren't what the seller said they are. We have no reason to say otherwise...I personally don't think someone new to darts should be attempting to buy such a rare species when it is unlikely they have the experience necessary to have great chance of taking proper care of them and breeding them, but I'd rather see that happen then someone new to our hobby getting screwed over on one of their first frog purchases. Also for all I know you may be highly experienced with darts and be more then qualified to care for BJ's.

If you are not already a member of dendroboard.com I invite you to come post about your new blue jeans and get opinions from the experts. Breeding and/or selling these frogs as bj's when there is even a small reasonable chance they aren't would be highly irresponsible on your part...If you care about the frogs and the hobby you'll wanna do everything in your power to make sure you got what you think you got.

As for the rest of it all, I can appreciate someone trying to be diplomatic but I'm a little disappointed that their public remarks would differ so wildly from the ones they made in private if that is in fact the case with Legion and anyone else.

Also I do not get why people find Jaden's actions rude. If I was about to pay 200,000 for a VW bug...thinking it was a Lamborghini, I'd damn sure appreciate someone giving me a heads up letting me know I might be making a mistake, even if that person had no idea what they were talking about. At least their intentions were good, and I didn't see any evidence of rudeness in the way they did it.

Again Robert, or whoever got these frogs I invite you to DB to post about them and show us some pictures and get the opinions of more qualified people on the specific morph you got. No shame in owning mancreeks...great frogs, and $100 each is a reasonable price. If someone sold you true blue jeans for a $100 bucks each then I would question their sanity, perhaps they should be nominated for saint hood...and you my friend just hit the frog lotto...but nothing I've read or seen here suggest that either is very likely, unless that camera was magical and the frogs look way way way different in real life you got mancreeks or almarinte man, simple as that.

Any responsible member of the hobby would wanna know for sure. Come to DB and post pics, we love frog pics...even of man creeks. Sincerely hope to see you there, and wish you the best of luck with your new frogs...Please don't sell or breed them as BJ's though without getting the opinion of more experts. That frog is way to rare in the hobby to have its genes corrupted by some misunderstanding.

How many times have we had newbies asking "What Morph Is This?" When they are sold an animal as something and then have doubts later?

The experts have said they aren't BJs but are ManCreeks, Wendy stated that they are BJs.

THIS is the issue that Jaden was bringing to our attention. I see nothing wrong with her actions, and for anyone to assign motives other than what was clearly there is, imo, simply applying dramatics to the simple basic reason that she posted and tried to help other buyers.

Sorry for having a different opinion than you do on how this played out and not just jumping on Wendy based on one person. I really deserved negative karma for that. :rolleyes: I'm not arguing at all what the frogs are or are not, I have no idea. Frogs aren't my thing. But if I had made a private transaction for some animals and then had someone I'd never met begin sending me repeated messages about how what I had bought was bogus, I would be a bit annoyed by them. Jade was right to show concern and ask for help from the dendro people when she noticed the frogs might not be what they are being sold as; she was wrong to hound the buyer, that she herself admits in her emails told her they had not bought the frogs in question (whether that buyer can be trusted is up for debate). Why didn't she just stop there? The person she was PMing told her they didn't buy the frogs in question and she continued to message them ranting about them.

Being a locality guy when it comes to snakes I completely agree with the plea to keep the different localities pure and to try and make sure someone knows what they've got etc.
I really don't think this should have been as a continuation of a bogus BOI thread, especially when both buyers are satisfied. IMO this discussion didnt' belong in the BOI. It should have been posted in the frog forum where it would do more good to educate those interested in frogs(and not just searching for info on Wendy) as to the differences between the "man" and "jean" frog. To be honest I still don't know. There was no education in this thread and to me that's what it should have been - educational.
I think Jadenkisses was a little too zealous. Possibly if she had handled it a little differently then there wouldn't have been a half dozens useless pages added to a bogus thread and the buyers may have actually entered into the discussion of what they purchased.

Blue Jean refers to a specific population of O. pumilio restricted to Costa Rica. They are very rare and highly desired in the hobby, someone else posted several ads earlier showing that they typically sell for $400-600. They have not been legally imported for quite a while because Costa Rica shut down exports. Man Creek and Almirante are two populations of O. pumilio from Panama. They share the same basic red w/ blue legs color scheme that Blue Jeans have, but it is very easy to tell them apart and the frogs that were sold clearly are not Blue Jeans. Man Creek and Almirante have been heavily imported and are typically around $100.

I think that the bad guy post was completely deserved, Wendy lied about the frogs to make them seem more desirable and dragged the good name of a well known frogger into it to add legitimacy when she knew damn well that they weren't Blue Jeans and weren't from him because she bought them from an importer in Florida who brought them in from Panama.

it still makes it no more of less offensive to post information that has nothing to do with this thread. Weather it has been posted once or twenty times it is not something that belongs on the BOI as it has absolutely zero to do with this or any other reptile dealing. But thanks for your input.
 
why is it whenever someone posts something about wendy someone has to come up and bring this crap up, personal past is personal past has nothing to do with her reptile business, like none of you have made any bad decisions or had crap posted bout you online..

I disagree. A person's reputation, past history and dealings, criminal history etc are all pertinent to whether someone (me, for example) would choose to do business with someone. Would you rather do business with a known criminal, or someone with a clean record? I would not choose, if I knew the information beforehand, to do business with a criminal, or someone with a history of involvement in groups/activities like white supremacy etc. I think that information is pertinent to this discussion, as it reflects on the history, character, reliability, ethics etc of the person in question.
 
this is for their reptile inquiries not personal stuff, i dont care if someone is a murder suspect lol, if they have animals that i'm getting from them and does fine by me i'll continue to do business with them..... these are personal attacks not information pertinent to their reptile business, should remain on topic.
