In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Heres the deal, we had decided to trade, beardie for leo, she sent her bearded dragon to me first, when i recieved the dragon he was packaged horribly in a small snake back and paper shavings, no support at all, he was feezing cold when i picked him up and very skinny, she had informed me that he needed to put on a little weight, but he had no fat in his tail, legs, head or anywhere else, he had diarrea, and was very lethargic, his eyes where sunkin in and dark, i decided to wait 3-4 days befor i sent the gecko out jut to check him out, and she agree'd to this

i have never seen a dragon this skinny

later today he passed away and i had informed her, she them blew up and started accusing me of killing it!!!!!! TOTAL BS!!!!

all of you that know mw on here lknow that i care deeply for the well being of my herps and others herps, i was crushed when he died, and her accusing me of killing the poor thing is only making matters worse, she has the nerve to call me a child with no ethics

i am so very happy that i chose not send out the gecko for a few days, if i had i'd be stuck with a dead dragon and she'd have a happy healthy leopard geckos

here is s quote from the last very insulting email from her

"Live and learn, I guess kids will be kids and kill whatever they see fit and blame it on someone else when they had no idea how to take care of the animal to begin with!"

it really ticks me off when people say i dont care for my herps...i have iguanas which are very hard to keep that are 9 years old which i had since they where 2 months old, and many other herps i have had for a very long time with no problems

thanks for listening guys

just a heads up i guess, i would never do bussiness with her again

dan is there any way you can post pictures of the dead animal... get its weight in grams on a scale and total length from tip of nose to tail?

i sent out a 400$ gecko for 2 fat tail geckos ecpecting them to be big and healthy, i shipped first which was the mistake, but intstead i got two skinny geckos that died in less than a week and never got my gecko back, if it cost 2 bucks to send him back, you'll get him back

I know I sent a happy healthy dragon to Dan who I later found out is a minor, my mistake, and Im sorry I ever did teh deal to begin with!!!!!

Really sounds to me like he is tring to make up for lost geckos on me or did anyone see a post about the other bad deal he had?

Jon,

You are on the fast track out of here. You need to knock off the name calling and profanity in addition to posting your FULL NAME on every single BOI post. One more post like the previous ones and you will be suspended from the site.

Ya, get some pics if ya can Dan. As for Night whatever, why does Dan need to grow up? I think you are the one being childish with that remark. From what Ive seen and heard about Dan he does care for his animals. Im not choosing sides like you did but stating what I know and feel. So lets get the facts out there. I highly doubt that a beardie would die in a few days if it was healthy upon arrival. Dan get those pics up if you can. If you say it was sickly and died I belive ya but get those pics as the proof is in the pudding.

i did a search for both wendy griffin and dragonfly reptiles and did not get aANY feedback about her, except this thread and she also has no feedback rating at all (it's in a little area over there </------ )

hey tokay_dude can you inform us of the conditions you provided this beardie when you got it.

like what you was feeding it?
list of the greens it was eating?
what was basking temps were giving it?
did you supply it with uvb lighting?
how long after you got it before it died? you never did clarify it.

also the shipping could have stressed the dragon, causing its coccodia level to rise extremly high. which would not be her fault, but for yours for not bringing to a vet to be examined.

im not trying to say you dont know how to care for animals either, i would just like to know what condidtions it had there. there are alot of conlficting ways to care for beardies out there.

also if you check dan's feedback rating you will see he has had allot of positive feedback from others with a very high feedback rating and expectations to boot

basking temps where at 110 on the dot

i fed it dandelion greens, callard greens mixed with strawberry, he never touched it

he died 4 days after i had recieved him

he had a brand new UVB light purchased the day he arrived

as for the pics, here they are

Well Doom......

He is/was about 8- 9 months old and not skinny at all at 140 gramsa s shipped he was quite the MAN even though a few grams would not he hurt him in the weight area.

sounds like it had a good diet. how old is it suposed to be. it looks small, but i cant tell the age. the head is shaped like a juvie. so i would assume atleast 2 months old.

sorry to hear about this loss

I hate to have to see any dead animal but it has to be done sometimes. I back you 100% Dan I dont believe you would kill a beardie on purpose nor do I think you would scam her. I think it may have had problems before she shipped it and may have been unaware of it. Maybe she has alot of reptiles and cant watch its habits all the time. I dont know for sure what happened or what caused its death but I dont think IMO that you would do anything to put the beardie in Jepordy. I think this may have just been a deal gone bad. I dont think she would have sent a beardie that she knew was sickly and agree to let you keep it for a few days before shipping as she would know it might die. So this is why I think again IMO that this was just a deal gone bad. These things happen sometimes. Either way you posted the pics so the proof is there that it is dead. Again I hate looking at pics of dead animals its just very upsetting :^(

You asked me for care info for IT So you now admit that in 4 days you never gave HIM water, or live food and I also told you HE had a "pool" that he was used to.

So you basically starved him of his normal habitat and feeding habits!!!!!!!

wendy nice lie, beardies wont starve to death in 4 days, most beardies upon aquisition will not eat for a week and thats normal.

wendy..the statement about the other deal gone bad was used as a point,

i told you that along with "you learn from bad experiences"

the point i was trying to get at was that i dont want to go through that again

sending a healthy gecko out and recieving an unhealthy animal only to have the other trader laugh in your face,

that does not mean that you would have done this

what i learned from that experience was not to ship first to someone i really dont know, and to closly inspect any animal given to you by someone you dont really know

i will never be getting any animals from people i dont know online anymore, only breeders i'll be trading or buying from online would be Robin struck(awesome person) Kelli hammack(another awesome person( Alberto Cadolini(yet again another awesome person) Cody castellanos whis is a good friend and a truly honest person, and money others, you know who you are

im sorry this deal went sour, buy hey, bad stuff happens, life's not fair

i did not kill this dragon like you so blatently accused me of doing, and that is the honest truth, im not a scum bag i would never do that
